Dear Readers,

We are in the midst of the holiday season! I hope all of our readers had a joyous Diwali and a glutinous Thanksgiving. With Christmas and the New Year approaching, there is no end in sight when it comes to merriment and family gatherings.

The holiday season is good for many things – eating all your favorite foods, getting together with friends and family, and enjoying the finer things in life. Many couples take advantage of this time of year to celebrate their love and take the next step. For all the grooms out there contemplating rings and proposals– good luck! We can’t wait to hear the stories.

For those of you ready to take the plunge, this issue will help you as you navigate the world of wedding planning. As always, I enjoy reading the real wedding stories. Each and every proposal is so different as is the theme and general style of wedding. I hope brides-to-be out there will be inspired by the stories to make their special day memorable. Don’t let yourself become overwhelmed by the prospect of planning the perfect wedding. Determine what matters most to you and your fiancé and focus on that. Nothing else matters except that you wake up the day after your wedding with blissful memories of fun times with friends and family … not to mention a beautiful life ahead with your soul mate.

I would also like to invite you to take advantage of our MyShadi Bridal Expo in Atlanta on March 24, 2013. The Expo provides a one-of-a-kind backdrop for some of the Atlanta top wedding vendors to introduce their services to you. Enter our raffle, sample products, enjoy tastings, and watch make-up sessions, then stay for our runway fashion show, featuring the latest in styles for brides, grooms, bridesmaids, and last but not least, mother-in-laws.

Remember, we love to hear from our readers and would love to feature your wedding in our magazine! Email me at editor@deshvidesh.com. behalf of everyone here at Desh-Videsh, I hope everyone thoroughly enjoys the holidays. We wish all of our readers all the best for the New Year to come.
