Shah Rukh Khan jokes about Bard of Blood actor Emraan Hashmi’s serial kisser image
Actor Emraan Hashmi has been seen less frequently on the screen as the actor wants to choose his projects wisely. He wants to play diverse characters and is taking his time choosing good scripts. The actor will soon be making his digital debut with the Netflix series Bard of Blood. He will be playing an ex-RAW agent who is called back for a special mission. This is the first time in his career that Emraan is playing an out-and-out action role– the role of a spy fighting behind the scenes for the safety of his own men and, along the way, how he addresses some of his own unfinished business.
The series is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. Teasing Emraan Hashmi, the Raees actor had said that Bard of Blood will help Hashmi transform his image from a serial kisser to a serial killer. He also said that initially, they were joking about how Emraan’s image is going to turn a serial kisser to a serious kicker.
Based on a book of the same name by Bilal Siddiqui, Bard of Blood follows Kabir, an erstwhile hostage rescue specialist, formerly a part of the Indian intelligence, as he races against time on a mission to save his country Hashmi then teams up with Sobhita Dhulipala and Vineet Kumar to rescue the spies while also dealing with his past.
The show will be launched on September 27, 2019, only on Netflix. All episodes of the series will be launched at the same time exclusively on Netflix to 151 million users across 190 countries.
New I & B Minister Prakash Javedekar to meet industry’s bigwigs on Saturday
Prakash Javedekar, the lately appointed Minister of Information & Broadcasting, is keen to get a better understanding of the workings of the Mumbai film industry. On August 31, Mr Javedkar who has taken over from Rajyavardhan Rathore, will be involved in a meet-and-greet session with the who’s who of the film industry in Mumbai.
Prasoon Joshi who is one of the entertainment industry leading luminaries and also the current chairperson of the censor board, has been given the responsibility of inviting the movers and shakers to meet the new I & B minister.
A source from the Government says Mr Javedkar will be monitoring and interacting closely with the film industry, “Cinema and its denizen are very close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s heart. Since his second term as Prime Minister Mr Modi has been interacting regularly with representative the film industry. Mr Javedkar is expected to seek out more avenues for a healthy and productive interaction with the film industry,” says the source.

Dinesh Vijan reunites with Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi in his next project Mimi based on Marathi film Mala Aai Vhaaychya!
After starring in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Luka Chuppi, Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi are reuniting with Dinesh Vijan in a film titled Mimi. It will be directed by Laxman Utekar. Dinesh Vijan brings back the team of Luka Chuppi which was a huge success at the box office this year. The film is based around Marathi film, Mala Aai Vhhaychay which bagged the National Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi in 2011. If sources are to believed, Mimi is a film based on surrogacy. Maddock Films are known to back strong content films like Badlapur, Hindi Medium, Stree etc and now adds one more to the list
Confirming the news Dinesh Vijan adds, "There’s a thrill in telling poignant stories and then there’s a thrill in telling ones that are based on true events. Mimi is one such tale. It’s a story that struck a chord with me, it explores a beautiful relationship between a woman who never wanted to be a mother and one who can’t wait to be one. What’s unexpected about the story is the humorous vein that runs through it and that’s what makes Mimi exciting!

Pagalpanti: Sunny Deol and Sridevi’s song from Chaalbaaz to be recreated for John Abraham and Ileana D’Cruz
Filmmaker Aneez Bazmee is busy completing the post-production of his upcoming film Pagalpanti starring John Abraham in the leading role. While the film has been wrapped, it seems like John and Ileana D’cruz will be seen in a song which will be a recreation from Sunny Deol and Sridevi’s song from Chaalbaaz.
Pagalpanti will have two recreated chartbusters from the 1990s and one of them is Chaalbaaz song ‘Tera Bimaar Mera Dil’. While it will include the lead pair, it will also feature the key cast members. While the original fun and entertainment element has been retained, the makers ensured to give the song fresh look and make it sound young and contemporary.
Aneez Bazmee’s next film Pagalpanti is a comedy, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak, Krishan Kumar, and Kumar Mangat. The film’s cast includes Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Kriti Kharbanda, Ileana D’Cruz, Pulkit Samrat, Saurabh Shukla and Arshad Warsi. It is set to release on November 9.
Is it Kick 2 or Subhash Ghai for Salman Khan’s Eid 2020?
With Sanjay Leela Bhansali packing up Inshallah even before the shooting started Salman Khan’s ego has taken a big bruise. As far as the won’t-take-no Superstar is concerned he must make it into theatres for Eid by hook or by crook, if not the great Sanjay Leela Bhansali then Bhajaan Salman will settle for buddy Sajid Naidawala, or even fuddy-duddy buddy Subhash Ghai (with whom Bhaijaan had a massive fallout once).
We’ve learnt from reliable sources that as soon as Inshallah was called off, Salman contacted Nadiadwala to ask if their Kick sequel can be rush-released for Eid 2020. Nadiadwala who never says no to anything ‘Salman’, is scratching his head wondering whether the script can be readied in time.
“Nothing about Kick 2 is finalized, except of course Salman. There is no script as yet. Nadiadwala is committed to getting the Kick sequel into theatres by the end of 2020. Let’s see if he can manage an Eid release,” says a source close to the development.
There is the other option. Subhash Ghai whom Salman once insulted publicly in unmentionable ways, has coaxed the ostensibly infallible star to do a film for him. Apparently Ghai wants to do a remake of Khalnaayak with Salman which Ghai will direct but not produce. Since the script for this one is all set Salman may just opt to do the Ghai film if Kick 2 doesn’t kick off as per his wish.
Let’s wait and watch.
FIRST LOOK: Taapsee Pannu to play an athlete in RSVP’s Rashmi Rocket
After sharing a few glimpses of the look of the upcoming film of RSVP finally, it has been revealed that Taapsee Pannu is going to star in the film. In one of the posts, RSVP unveils the character’s name that is, Rashmi. While the makers were posting about the same, the lead actress Taapsee Pannu also shared the same glimpses and finally unveiled the face of the character. The film is titled Rashmi Rocket.
Sharing the recent post makers described, "She broke through the shackles of traditions to fulfill her dreams". The actress will be essaying the role of an athlete in the film and the teaser images were released on National Sports Day.
RSVP’s next Rashmi Rocket will revolve around a sprinter Rashmi, who hails from Kutch and how the villagers called her Rocket. When she finally receives an opportunity to showcase her talent, she has to face many hurdles. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, this is not based on any real-life sports personality.
Varun Dhawan begins chat show on his YouTube channel with Sachin Tendulkar
Earlier this year, Varun Dhawan kickstarted his own YouTube channel where he shares glimpses of his life with his fans. A day after playing gully cricket with master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, it has been revealed that Varun Dhawan has begun his own celebrity chat show on his channel.
Varun Dhawan and Sachin Tendulkar were seen playing gully cricket on National Sports Day on August 29. And now, it seems like this is how Varun began his chat show. Being an ardent fan of Sachin, Varun wanted to kick off the show with the legendary cricketer. The first episode of Mango Man dropped today. The actor was completely comfortable while talking with master blaster about his long career, his tournaments, life after retirement among others. They, they also discussed diet and fitness. It seems like Varun Dhawan is trying new ways to entertain his fans. His chat show will include personalities from all fields.

Nushrat Bharucha to star in a music video titled ‘Ishq Tera’ with Guru Randhawa
Nushrat Bharucha is no more a Punchnama girl since she is exploring different opportunities. The actress is currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film, Dream Girl starring alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. But, with her upcoming projects, she is also doing a music video with Guru Randhawa.
In the past few years, Guru Randhawa has become a huge pop Punjabi sensation with his peppy numbers. His Bollywood songs have also been very successful. He has written, composed and sung ‘Ishq Tera’ song which features Nushrat and the first look has been released today by T-Series.

Shah Rukh Khan to have a cameo in Alia Bhatt – Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra?
One of the highly anticipated films of 2020 is Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in leading roles. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is an ambitious sci-fi flick starring the two stars in never seen before avatars. With the buzz around the film increasing day by day, it seems like Dharma Productions will be roping in Shah Rukh Khan for a special appearance.
According to the grapevine, the makers of Brahmastra have approached Shah Rukh Khan for a crucial role in the film. While it is yet to be confirmed by the makers, it seems like it will be a reunion of SRK and Alia after Dear Zindagi and SRK – RK after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. IIT-Bombay to host a special screening of Chhichhore for their alumni
One of the most prestigious engineering institutions in the country, IIT-Bombay, is all set to hold a special screening of Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming film Chhichhore for their alumni, just days ahead of the film’s release. It comes as much delight to the people associated with the film as its rare for an esteemed college like IIT-Bombay to organize a special screening of a Bollywood film prior to its release. It also is interesting to note that, IIT-Bombay will be holding the screening in order to celebrate the achievements of Nitesh Tiwari, who happens to be IIT-B alumni.
Chhichhore, which has been extensively shot in the IIT-B campus, highlights the importance and joy of the college life in an individual’s life and how it remains a fun ride, which provides an individual with the required fuel for the rest of their lives. The film is being screened in remembrance of the alumni to relive their IIT-Bombay days, to honour and cherish the most spectacular phase of their lives and to reunite with old friends and batchmates, who might or might not have been in touch with each other since they graduated. Dabangg 3: Kichcha Sudeepa opens up about how he was hesitant to kick Salman Khan for a scene
Kannada superstar, Kichcha Sudeepa is going to be seen as the antagonist in Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer, Dabangg 3. The actor has already shot for his scenes and is simultaneously gearing up for his upcoming film, Pehelwaan with Suniel Shetty. It was recently announced that Sudeepa will be a part of the third instalment of the Dabangg franchise and the fans couldn’t be more excited to watch two of their favourite stars share screen space for the first time.
Recalling an incident where they had to shoot a fight sequence, Kichcha Sudeepa revealed how he was hesitant in kicking Salman Khan because of the respect he has for him. Even after Salman insisted him to go ahead as planned, Sudeepa couldn’t get himself to do that and hence they have to change the sequence. Sudeepa elaborated on how this incident makes him understand why actors in south hesitate to kick/hit him for the sequences.

Chhichhore has widely garnered the tag of the perfect ‘Back-to-college’ film ever since the trailer of the film released. Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari’s next directorial has a nostalgic flavour of friendship and college life. Just ahead of its release, the lead star cast of the film, specifically Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma are planning a reunion with their college friends.
Sushant Singh Rajput has grown up in Delhi and was an engineering student from one of Delhi’s most reputed engineering colleges. Shraddha Kapoor, who is born and brought up in Mumbai, has many friends in the city for whom she’ll be planning the special reunion and Varun, who is a Jalandhar boy, secured a degree in media in the same city. Cricketer MS Dhoni to go into film production?
There is widespread talk in the film industry that iconic cricketer MS Dhoni is all set to embark into a new phase in his life. If reliable sources are to be believed Dhoni turns film producer very shortly. Sources in the know say Dhoni has zeroed in on some projects that he wishes to produce in collaboration with corporate houses in the film industry.
Says a well-informed source, “Films have always interested Dhoni. He is a huge movie buff. When Neeraj Pandey made the biopic M.S Dhoni – The Untold Story, the superstar-cricketer got a chance to observe the entertainment industry up close. And Dhoni loved it. He was waiting for an opportune time to take the plunge.”
With the ace-cricketer bidding goodbye to cricket, now is the time for Dhoni to strengthen his ties with the film industry. He has many close friends in the movie industry, like John Abraham. In fact there are reliable rumours that one of Dhoni’s initial film productions would be in collaboration with John.

FIRST LOOK: Janhvi Kapoor transforms into combat pilot Gunjan Saxena in Kargil Girl; the film to release on March 13, 2020
Janhvi Kapoor, who recently wrapped up the Georgia schedule of her next film, will be starring as combat pilot Gunjan Saxena in the upcoming film, The Kargil Girl. The actress had to undergo a lot of training for the film.
A day ago, Dharma Productions announced, “Dharma Productions is proud to announce that be telling the true story of Flight Lt. Gunjan Saxena, India’s first Air Force woman officer who went to war – on the big screen.”
Now, we have the first look of Janhvi Kapoor transforming into the brave pilot Gunjan Saxena. She is a happy soul in poster. The caption reads, “She was always told – ladkiyan pilot nahi banti…But she stood her ground, she wanted to fly! Tahir Raj Bhasin competes with national level runners in Chhichhore!
Tahir Raj Bhasin has always been regarded as an actor to watch out for. He wowed everyone with his brilliant debut as a villain in the super hit and highly acclaimed Mardaani. In his next, Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari’s coming of age film Chhichhore, he will be seen essaying the role of a sports champion in an engineering college. In one particular scene in which he will be seen participating in an adrenaline-pumping relay race, Tahir actually competed with national level runners!
“Chhichhore is the toughest film that I have done. To play the role of a sports champion, I first needed to break my body and become supremely fit to convincingly look like a college athlete. Along with acing sporting disciplines, I also had to balance the emotional graph and light-heartedness of a college drama while competing in varying sport! Combining the two drained a lot out of me,” Tahir says.
“It took four months of gruelling training in 4 different kinds of sports – athletics, football, kabaddi, and volleyball to become confident of playing, Derek, my character. I used to train for about 4-5 hours daily with national coaches and I remember being so exhausted and my body being in serious pain after each training session. But it was all worth it because I’m really proud of what I have done on screen and Nitesh Tiwari’s validation at the end of our shoot meant everything to me,” he adds.
About the scene in which he competes with national-level runners, Tahir says, “the running shot in the trailer was the biggest challenge to shoot. It was a scene where I was not told that I was running with the best in the country until after the shot was over! I gave it all and I remember how in Mumbai’s most humid months shooting Chhichhore’s sports scenes was tough because of the serious athletic skill I was up against. I’m just proud and happy that, in the moment as Derek, I could compete with them and do a great job for my director under pressure.”
Tahir Raj Bhasin plays the role of Derek in Chhichhore. Derek was Nitesh’s real-life senior from engineering college. The real Derek was an extremely close friend of Nitesh and was a driven and passionate sportsman who excelled in whichever sporting discipline he competed. The film is set for September 6 release.
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput to move into their sea facing duplex in SoBo?
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput, who got married in 2015, are a family of four now. The two of them have a daughter Misha Kapoor and little boy Zain Kapoor who will turn one in September, this year. With his family expanding, the actor had booked a new residence which is a sea-facing duplex in South Bombay. Now, it seems like they are all set to move from Juhu to Worli, Mumbai soon.
Shahid Kapoor wanted to have a better fit for his family and found this 8000 square feet apartment. Now, they will get the possession soon and move in by the end of the year, probably. The actor wanted an unrestricted view of the sea and the 500 square-feet balcony in the new residence is the perfect option. This happens to be their dream house.
As it turns out, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh live close by. Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh to have a residence near to Shahid Kapoor’s apartment.
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor gave a blockbuster with Kabir Singh. He is yet to announce his next film but rumours are he has been approached to star in Hindi remake of Nani’s Jersey.
Farah Khan opens up about brother Sajid Khan who was accused during #MeToo
During the #MeToo movement in India, several Bollywood members were named and accused of sexual harassment. Filmmaker Sajid Khan was one among them, as he was accused by three women including an actress and a journalist of indecent behaviour. Soon after the accusations, the filmmaker was asked to step down from the position of the director of Housefull 4. He was even banned by film regulatory bodies.
Months after the accusation, Sajid Khan’s sister and filmmaker Farah Khan has opened up about the matter. In an interview, Farah Khan spoke about how social media trials are unfair and that all the accused should be treated equally.
She said that her only issue was with the level of hypocrisy shown by some people. She further said that one cannot pick and choose. She said that you cannot choose a successful person because you can benefit from it and throw the other under the bus.
The Om Shanti Om director said that there needs to be a due process, which is yet to take shape. She said that social media trials are a very dangerous phenomenon and can happen to anyone in the course of time.
Akshay Kumar and others refused to work with Sajid in Housefull 4 until the probe was on and he was still an ‘accused’. On this, Farah stated that people should work with everyone until the court has given its verdict.
Vidya Balan says that Indira Gandhi biopic is not about any political party
Bollywood actor Vidya Balan announced that she would be playing Indira Gandhi in an upcoming web series. The actress was recently asked as to why she chose to play India’s first female Prime Minister and Congresswoman Indira Gandhi at a time when the majority of the actors in Bollywood are trying to please the ruling government.
Vidya Balan said that whenever she thinks of powerful women, Indira Gandhi is the first name that comes to her mind. She said that she is very party agnostic and has nothing to do with any political party. Talking about the series, the actress said that it is not about any political party, but about an individual that goes beyond the party.
Vidya also revealed that the shoot of the series will not begin anytime soon as web series requires a lot of work. She said that there is so much material available that it will take time to put them together. It may be a few years before the series goes on floors.
Meanwhile, Vidya Balan will soon be seen playing Shakuntala Devi in an upcoming biopic of the renowned mathematician. She was last seen in the film Mission Mangal alongside Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen and Sonakshi Sinha.
Ekta Kapoor reveals why Ayushmann Khurrana was the only choice for Dream Girl
Ekta Ravi Kapoor, the founder of Balaji Telefilms, recently divulged into why she feels Ayushmann Khurrana is the best choice for playing Pooja aka Dream Girl, in their upcoming film. Her words provide testimony to the fact that Ayushmann Khurrana has solely emerged as the most bankable actor of Bollywood and the fact that he is being sought after all directors- new and old alike is proof of his adeptness.
Ekta shares on what made her think that Ayushmann was her only Dream Girl. “When we heard the script, I heard it from Raaj and of course, I was on the floor. I said, you know you need only one actor I think who can do the voice modulations, who will work that hard and that’s Ayushmann. But I was so sure that just do me a favor that man bets on scripts. I said he will not see how big the director is, whats his resume, how many 50 films he has made. He will read the script. I told that he will find in himself the ability and it takes a lot to be a woman. A really, really talented man and to be a woman.”
We cannot agree more to the fact that the national award-winning actor Ayushmann Khurrana is definitely the apt choice to play a tricky and interesting character like this. A source close to Ekta also reveals that the producer inherently feels that Ayushmann today is the only actor who can put into the mold of any character and he’ll transform himself like that. He is like water, he’ll take the shape of anything he is put in. Furthermore, she also feels that Ayushmann is the most exciting actor to work with as compared to his contemporaries like, Ranveer Singh when it comes to donning a variety of character hats and hence a better choice than Ranveer for playing the Dream Girl.

Within no time, the quirky Pooja takes over the whole city with her inviting voice and soothes everyone who calls her.

Aamir Khan gets a response from PM Narendra Modi for end single plastic use initiative
Aamir Khan, a day ago, took to his social media to urge his following to end the usage of single plastic. Now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked the actor for showing his support for the initiative.
Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, “Thank you @aamir_khan for the valuable support to the movement to eliminate the usage of single use plastic. Your encouraging words will inspire others to strengthen the movement as well.”
Earlier, on August 26, Aamir Khan extended his support towards the intiative and wrote “The initiative by the Hon’ble PM @narendramodi to curb ‘single-use plastic’ is an effort all of us should strongly support. It’s up to each of us to make sure we stop using ‘single-use plastic’.”

Earlier, on August 26, Aamir Khan extended his support towards the intiative and wrote “The initiative by the Hon’ble PM @narendramodi to curb ‘single-use plastic’ is an effort all of us should strongly support. It’s up to each of us to make sure we stop using ‘single-use plastic’.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi did his monthly address on ‘Mann Ki Baat’, where he urged citizens to start a new revolution against plastic on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. “This year, when we celebrate Bapu’s 150th birth anniversary, we shall not only dedicate to him an India that is Open Defecation Free, but shall also lay the foundation of a new revolution against plastic, by people themselves, throughout the country. Let us celebrate Gandhi Jayanti this year as a mark of plastic free Mother India. Let us celebrate October 2 as a special day,” PM Modi said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir Khan will be next seen in Lal Singh Chaddha which is an adaptation of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump.
