Rising Star Season 3 & Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs Winners Announced
Two of the most popular singing reality shows came to an end this month with their grand finale’s revealing the winners. Color TV’s Rising Star Season 3 found its winner in Faridkot Punjab’s Aftab Singh. The trophy of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs was claimed by Sugandha Date.
12-year-old Aftab impressed viewers with his melodious performance over three months. He comes from a very humble background and learns music from his father Mahesh Singh. The youngest finalist of the season, Aftab won the prestigious trophy as well as a cash prize of $15,000. He earlier participated in Zee’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2017.
In the nail-biting final showdown on Rising Star, Aftab got 89% votes, leaving behind runner-up Diwakar Sharma, 
who got 82% votes. Shankar Mahadevan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Neeti Mohan judged the third season of the live reality show. Singer-actor Aditya Narayan hosted the show this season.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2019 winner Sugandha hails from Nagpur, Maharashtra. The 14-year-old champion won Rs. 5 lakhs along with the trophy. Sugandha was often compared to playback singer Shreya Ghoshal by judges and guests on the show. She too previously took part in another singing show, Indian Idol Junior in 2013.
Sugandha was one of five finalists to reach the grand finale. This year singers Richa Sharma, Amaal Malik and Shaan judged the show, while TV actor Ravi Dubey took on as its host.
