Atul Kulkarni Promotes Kashmir Tourism After Terror Attack
Atul Kulkarni, known for his powerful roles in films such as Rang De Basanti, made a visit to Kashmir’s Pahalgam shortly after the terror attack on April 22, 2025. Through a series of social media posts, the actor shared moments from his trip, encouraging people to keep visiting the region in defiance of the recent violence.
In one of his posts, Kulkarni shared a picture of his nearly empty flight to Srinagar, commenting, “Mumbai to Srinagar. The crew says they were running full. We need to fill them up again. Chaliye ji Kashmir chalein,” inviting others to show support by traveling to Kashmir. Additionally, he posted pictures of his boarding pass and a personal note from the flight crew, further adding to the message of solidarity.
Kulkarni’s posts received a lot of praise, with several social media users commenting on his patriotism and courage. One user noted, “This is what true patriotism looks like, standing with your people, not just watching from the sidelines.” Several people shared their admiration, with one follower commenting, “What a remarkable act… Let’s head to Kashmir and crush the enemy’s morale!” Many others lauded his actions, describing it as an “amazing initiative.”
In a video shared by ANI, the actor addressed the situation, stating, “The tragic event on April 22 saddened the entire nation. I read that 90% of bookings here have been cancelled. The message terrorists are trying to send is for people to avoid Kashmir. But that won’t happen. This is our Kashmir, our homeland, and we will stand here. This is the answer we need to give to the terrorists’ ideology.” Kulkarni emphasized that he could not stay away and had traveled to Kashmir himself, inviting others to do the same.
Kulkarni’s visit not only symbolized his personal support for the region but also helped raise awareness about the importance of continuing to visit Kashmir, helping the area recover and maintain its connection with the rest of the country.
