Three Indian Americans Win 2025 Flinn Scholarship

Twenty high school seniors from Arizona have been named recipients of the 2025 Flinn Scholarship, the state’s most prestigious merit-based award, according to a press release dated April 17, 2025. Among them are three Indian American students — Jishnu Nayak, Smilangi Sidhugari, and Sudeep Vattikuti — who will join the 40th cohort of Flinn Scholars this fall.

Each student will receive a comprehensive financial package worth over $135,000, covering full tuition, fees, housing, meals, and at least two study-abroad experiences, including a group seminar abroad after their freshman year. The scholarship, funded by the Phoenix-based Flinn Foundation in collaboration with Arizona’s three major public universities, aims to retain top talent within the state.

The 20 scholarship recipients, each from a different high school, are set to enroll at either Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona. The Flinn Scholarship continues to be a transformative opportunity for Arizona’s brightest students to pursue higher education and global learning experiences without financial burden.
