Amitabh Bachchan Reflects on Time, Age, and Gratitude

Amitabh Bachchan, one of Bollywood’s most enduring stars, has once again used his personal blog as a canvas to share deep reflections on life. This time, his thoughts revolved around the concept of time, which he described not merely as minutes ticking away but as a divine and eternal force guiding every human journey.

For Bachchan, time is more than a clock—it is a cleanser, a force that constrains, teaches, and ultimately shapes human existence. He admitted that it remains difficult to fully understand, but emphasized that everyone, knowingly or not, bows to its authority. “Time decides, dictates, confirms, conjectures and counts. And then it gives,” he expressed, highlighting how it bestows moments both wanted and unwanted, each holding significance in its own right.

Expanding further, the veteran actor portrayed time as generous, unpredictable, and eternal. It dictates the rhythm of life, sometimes offering blessings, sometimes lessons, but always reminding individuals of their place in the larger flow of existence. To him, the choice lies in how one uses the gift of time—whether to cherish, preserve, or waste it.

Alongside his meditations, Bachchan offered glimpses of his personal life, sharing images of his customary Sunday meetings with fans outside his Mumbai residence. He spoke warmly about the unwavering affection from people who gather, often braving unfavorable weather. “Their love is a boon that shall never be forgotten,” he wrote, acknowledging that their support continues to fuel his journey.

The superstar also reflected on his professional commitments, particularly while filming Kaun Banega Crorepati. For him, the show is not just about questions and answers but about human connection. He likened the experience to a poetic exchange between host and contestant, reiterating his belief that it is the participants and audience who truly “make the show.”

On the cinematic front, Bachchan was last seen in Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth. Even as he continues to work actively in his late 70s, his recent reflections show that his outlook remains grounded in gratitude, spirituality, and an awareness of the fleeting yet eternal nature of time.
