Gia Manek Marries Varunn Jain In Spiritual Ceremony
Gia Manek, fondly remembered as the original Gopi Bahu from Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, has stepped into a new phase of life by marrying actor Varunn Jain. The couple, who had kept their relationship away from the spotlight, surprised fans by announcing their marriage on August 21. Surrounded by close family and friends, their intimate wedding radiated simplicity, love, and spirituality.
Gia rose to fame with her iconic portrayal of Gopi Bahu, a role that cemented her as a household name in Indian television. Meanwhile, Varunn Jain carved his own place in the industry with roles in Diya Aur Baati Hum and Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha. The two crossed paths again in 2021 while working on Tere Mere Saath Rahe, where Varunn played the brother-in-law of Gia’s character. Their friendship quietly blossomed into love, though the couple maintained a low profile, avoiding public appearances and media attention.
Reflecting their shared spiritual beliefs, Gia and Varunn chose to forgo a conventional wedding for a unique Yogic ritual known as Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha. Rooted in the cleansing of the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space—this sacred ceremony emphasizes union on a deeper, spiritual level. Conducted under the guidance of the Isha Foundation, the ritual symbolized purity, balance, and divine connection.
Gia looked radiant in a mustard yellow silk saree with a golden border, accessorized with traditional temple jewelry including a matar mala, kamarband, jhumkas, and a maang teeka. Her simple bun adorned with white gajra flowers highlighted her understated elegance. Varunn complemented her look in a yellow sherwani, perfectly blending with the spiritual theme of their union.
Sharing glimpses of their special day on Instagram, Gia penned a heartfelt note: “With the grace of the Divine and our Master’s blessings, we step into this forever union—hand in hand, heart to heart. The couple also visited the sacred Linga Bhairavi temple in Velliangiri Hills to seek blessings.
