Classic Thriller ‘100 Days’ Returns as Modern Web Series

The 1991 psychological thriller 100 Days, starring Jackie Shroff and Madhuri Dixit, remains one of Bollywood’s most memorable suspense films. Over three decades later, producer Jay Mehta is reviving the classic as a modern web series. According to reports, actors Abhishek Kumaarr and Srishti Singh will play the lead roles, with filming nearing completion and a release expected by year-end.

This fresh version introduces a contemporary twist — the show will stream as a vertical micro-drama, aligning with the fast-paced digital viewing habits of today’s audience. The creators have reportedly reimagined parts of the storyline to make it relatable for the new generation while preserving the eerie tension that defined the original.

The 1991 film, directed by Partho Ghosh, followed a woman gifted with extrasensory perception. Ghosh, known for his work in thrillers, passed away in June 2025 at age 75, leaving behind a cinematic legacy of suspense and emotion.
