Don 3 Finally Set To Begin Filming
After years of speculation and delays, Don 3, the third installment of the hit franchise, is finally set to begin filming. Announced by Farhan Akhtar in August 2023, the project confirmed Ranveer Singh as the new Don, succeeding Shah Rukh Khan. Initial plans to start production in January 2025 were postponed due to Farhan’s acting commitments and the exit of Vikrant Massey from the antagonist role, raising concerns about the film’s future.
Sources now confirm that Don 3 is on track. Ranveer Singh, riding the success of Dhurandhar, has begun action preparation, with filming scheduled to start in late January or early February 2026. Key portions will be shot in Jeddah. Kriti Sanon will join the action sequences, following the high-energy style seen in Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ Roma.
For the antagonist role, negotiations are underway to bring Vikrant Massey back, ensuring the franchise’s signature dynamic between hero and adversary. Farhan Akhtar is also reportedly exploring cameo appearances from Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra, with talks of Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman joining for special roles, adding star power to the finale.
With production moving forward, Don 3 promises to merge legacy elements with fresh energy, delivering an action-packed thriller that fans have long awaited.
