Aneet Padda’s path to Bollywood stardom is one built on persistence, courage, and self-belief. Hailing from Amritsar, Punjab, her journey wasn’t one of privilege but of sheer determination. Today, she stands in the limelight with Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, where she stars opposite Ahaan Panday, cementing her place as one of the industry’s most promising new faces.
The actress always dreamed of performing, but financial constraints meant her family could not support trips to Mumbai for auditions. Recalling her early struggles in an interview, she shared how she would secretly record audition tapes in her room under the pretext of studying. Her determination to chase her dream, even without resources, became the foundation of her career.
While pursuing her bachelor’s degree, Aneet began modeling for advertisements, finding ways to keep her passion alive while balancing academics. Her first notable break came in 2022 with a small role in Kajol’s Salaam Venky. Though brief, the role gave her visibility in the industry. The romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri, tells the story of Krrish Kapoor, a struggling musician, and Vaani Batra, an aspiring journalist and poet. Aneet’s performance as Vaani, alongside Ahaan Panday, was lauded for its authenticity and fresh energy, with their on-screen chemistry becoming the highlight of the film.
Reflecting on the emotional journey, Aneet recalled the final day of shooting, where she and Ahaan broke down in tears, overwhelmed by the experience, despite pending reshoots. The success of Saiyaara has since turned both actors into overnight sensations, signaling the arrival of a new era of Bollywood talent.
