Saif Ali Khan is celebrating his 49th birthday in London while shooting for Jawaani Jaaneman. While away from home, the actor received a special birthday wish from his daughter Sara Ali Khan.
The father-daughter are very close to each other. And their bond was witnessed when they came together on Koffee With Karan 6. Since both are busy with their work schedules, Sara made sure to send best wishes. Sharing a family portrait, Sara Ali Khan wrote, “Happiest birthday Abba. I love you so much.” In the photo, Sara is seen with her father and brothers Ibrahim Ali Khan and Taimur Ali Khan.
Sara Ali Khan, meanwhile, is busy shooting for Coolie No 1 along with Varun Dhawan in Thailand. The film is set for May 1, 2020 release.

War could be the biggest showdown of two of the biggest action superstars of our time – Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, but the film’s heroine Vaani Kapoor is also turning many heads with her smoking hot body and fitness levels. Vaani sizzled in her teaser of the film and her trainer Yasmin Karachiwala gave us the entire lowdown on how the actress put in 10 weeks of rigorous training to get in perfect shape for the film.
“I think it’s fair to say that anyone who wants to achieve a bikini body and look good on screen has to be extremely dedicated to their workout and to themselves and Vaani was very, very dedicated. She worked out every single day, for 10 weeks. Her level of commitment was tremendous and I think it shows in the look that she has in War,” says Yasmin, who is one of the top celebrity fitness trainers of the country. “Vaani’s workouts consisted of pilates and the gym and then cardio. In pilates, I devised different programs, which was circuit training in pilates, functional training in pilates. I made 20:20:20 workout, where she worked out for 20 min of the leg, 20 min of abdominals, 20 mins on the upper body. We also worked on different machines: the reformer, the Cadillac, the Bodhi, the Chair, the Motor, mat exercises, the CoreAlign. We also did a beach body circuit in pilates,” Yasmin reveals.
She added, “In the gym, she either did heavy weight training, which was the body part training and functional training on other days. I tried to mix it up with TRX, Bodhi, power pilate, medicine balls, swiss balls. We tried to work on the skill mill, the tread climber, the treadmill, the elliptical for cardiovascular training and even on the adrenaline bike. Basically, her workout was different every single day because we never allowed the body to anticipate what she was going to do and I kept changing her workout and I think that worked best on her body and that’s how she derived the bikini body!”

Bhushan Kumar brings Vicky Kaushal and Nora Fatehi together for a passionate single, ‘Pachtaoge’
Off late, we have seen Vicky Kaushal play a patriotic hero but what would we not do to see him play a passionate man, madly in love! The wait seems to be over with T-Series’ new single, ‘Pachtaoge’. Love never showed more sincerity than Vicky and betrayal never had a more beautiful face than Nora Fatehi’s, the wonderful performers who have teamed up for the music video which will release on August 23rd.
Composer B Praak’s haunting music combined with Arijit Singh’s achingly passionate voice and Jaani’s evocative lyrics take the track notches higher. Director Arvindr Khaira says “It was lovely shooting this with Vicky and Nora, they’re both great performers. We wanted the look and feel of the video to reflect the emotions in the song. Shimla’s cobbled streets and architecture seemed like the ideal backdrop to set our story against,” he says.
One of the highlights of the video is the sizzling chemistry between the on-screen couple and producer Bhushan Kumar says he couldn’t be happier bringing Vicky and Nora together for the single. “It’s been a while that we saw a music video which is so passionate and packs in so much intensity. Vicky and Nora have done a wonderful job,” says the music czar.
The actors, too, are glad they got a chance to show a different side of their acting repertoire. “This year the audience gets to slowly see my acting abilities with projects such as Batla House and the forthcoming Street Dancer 3D! I’ve been waiting for such opportunities to come my way as I’ve always wanted to be an actress. Now, with a project like Pachtaoge, I got to purely showcase my acting skills to another level. I would like to thank T-Series and Bhushan Kumar sir for letting me be part of this performance-based music video. I am also excited to work with Vicky Kaushal, who is such a celebrated actor. ‘Pachtaoge’ is surely a step forward in my career and hopefully will be a pleasant surprise for the audience,” says a delighted Nora.
Vicky Kaushal, too, is all praise for his co-star. “This is the first time I have shot for a single and who better than T- Series and Bhushan Kumar to collaborate with. It was a memorable experience shooting with Nora in Shimla. She’s a person who radiates positivity. We had a lot of fun shooting with her. When I heard the song for the first time, I heard it ten times in one go! I’ve been following B Praak and Jaani’s work for long and I was happy to work with them,” he smiles, adding that “it’s an honour to be associated with the music label.”

Chhichhore cast underwent behavioural workshop to play 50-year-olds on screen
Dangal fame director Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Chhichhore spans 25 years as Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor and other characters evolve from being college students to middle-aged people. Director Nitesh Tiwari made them undergo behavioural workshop so that they were convincing as 50-year-olds on screen. The key cast members including Varun Sharma and Tahir Raj Bhasin are shown in their early 30s.
Talking about the creative process, Nitesh Tiwari says, “It was important for each actor to age differently basis their psychological transformation. So, we sat down and wrote the journey of each character — what has he done in the last 25 years and how it has impacted him emotionally. For instance, Anni [Rajput’s character] used to be inquisitive and a thinker in his college days. But the circumstances that he faced later on in life made him vulnerable and empathetic. Shraddha’s character becomes more subdued, unlike the chirpy girl she was in college. So, we charted out character graphs and made my actors understand what stage of life they were at.”
Interestingly, Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor undergo seven-day behavioural workshop to play 50-somethings, convincingly in Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore.
Before the film went on floors last October, Nitesh Tiwari and his core team of five assistants conducted workshops to help the actors to understand the progression of their characters. The team held three-hour-long sessions for a week with the cast where the focus was on their behavioural changes and body language. Not only the physical aspect side, but director Nitesh Tiwari also wanted them to understand the emotional graph of their respective characters and how that impacts their demeanour.
The movie stars an ensemble cast of Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor along with Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, and Nalneesh Neel. Chhichhore marks the coming together of Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios after they delivered the hits Judwaa 2 and Baaghi 2, together.
Fox Star Studio presents A Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Production, Chhichhore, directed by Nitesh Tiwari is all set to hit the theatres on 6th September 2019.

Exclusive: Alia Bhatt to bake a cake with a chef for Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula’s Fankind
Anshula Kapoor launched her celebrity-fan engagement platform, Fankind, to raise money for charities with Varun Dhawan, last week, on social media and the website next will release Alia Bhatt’s campaign for the same where her fans can donate on the platform for an opportunity to bake a cake with the actress. A host of Bollywood stars including Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Sanon, Badshah, filmmaker Karan Johar have agreed to come on board and provide fan experiences this year. Fankind will introduce a new experience on the website every three weeks. After Alia there is a YouTuber called MostlySane (Prajakta) and Sonakshi Sinha.”
Every experience is uniquely interesting. Varun’s campaign launched on August 5 and will be on till September 18. Fans can donate for a chance to play an exciting game of paintball with him. Alia’s campaign is launching on Sunday. When a celebrity campaign goes live, it is for 40-45 days on the website for people to come and donate and participate.
Alia’s campaign will open for donations on August 18, and end on October 1. Fans can donate as many times as they want to in this duration for a chance to bake a cake with her. For every Rs 300, they have 1 chance of baking a cake with her. Once Alia agreed to come on board, she jammed with Anshula to lock on a fun experience to share with her fans. Alia chose “baking a cake with a fan”. There will even be a pastry chef at the actual experience with the Fan and Alia to make sure it is a fun day of baking – and chef extraordinaire Pooja Dhingra has agreed to be part of the experience.
Anshula says, “I am extremely excited to have Alia on board Fankind. She made time to shoot the promotional bytes in between major commitments and I am so thankful that she and her team could include Fankind in her schedule. This just goes to show the love she has for her fans and how passionate she is about wanting to help raise money and awareness for animal welfare as a cause”.
Alia’s campaign ends on October 1, so after all the donations have come in, a winner is chosen fairly by a 3rd party unbiased agency, and after that is when the actual experience with the fan will take place. Fankind will fly the winner and a guest of their choice to Mumbai to make sure they meet Alia and bake the cake with her. They even take care of their travel and hotel stay for that day.
Talking about a unique concept for each celebrity Anshula says, “The team and the celebrity collaboratively come up with an experience that they are more than happy to share with their fans. We then attach each experience to a charity that the celebrity has been supporting through the years, like Alia has been associated with World For All for the past few years, or to a cause they really care about. From each campaign, effectively 70 per cent is directly donated to charity, and goes directly to an NGO’s bank account and the user gets an 80G tax exempt certificate also as soon as they transact on Fankind.”
Anshula aims to offer at least 30 experiences with celebrities so that Fankind can raise funds for at least 30 NGOs in the first year. As of today, they have confirmations for 15 campaigns. There is Varun, Alia, Badshah, Kriti Sanon, Sonakshi Sinha, Karan Johar, – and a bunch of celebrities from different walks of life, including sports.
Talking of Varun’s contribution to her cause, Anshula says, “Varun (Dhawan) is wonderful. He was the first person to say yes to Fankind. As soon as I told him, his first words were ‘done. I want to do something to help the farmers’. The NGO that we are helping raise funds for is ManavLok and they have been doing a lot of great work to help farmers in Maharashtra. Varun genuinely loves meeting his fans so the paintball experience is also something he is very, very excited about.”
Explaining the thought behind such a wonderful campaign, Anshula says, “I have seen the amount of unconditional fan love my family receives, and the love has somehow even trickled down to me. I have had Arjun bhaiya’s fans do the sweetest things for me on my birthday and I am so grateful for their love. I wanted to do something which can help them meet their favourite celebrities and help us raise money for the NGOs in our country that are already doing so much good work. The thought started with how do I help NGOs raise money and that slowly metamorphosed into what Fankind is today – a combination of helping fans create magical memories with their favourite celebrities and helping NGOs raise funds.”
Do we expect to see the Kapoor khandaan too on Fankind? Anshula says, “I have the support of everyone who is part of the Kapoor family, including Arjun bhaiya, dad, Anil chachu, Janhvi, Rhea, Sonam didi, and I am sure eventually we will do an experience with each one of them on Fankind.”

The Saaho trailer has been living right up to its hype. The trailer which was released in four languages has managed to cross 70 million in just 48 hours. After the trailer launch, Prabhas is gearing up for his city tour of Hyderabad. The makers of Saahohave organized a pre-release event in Ramoji Film City on 18th of August, 5 PM onwards which will see one of the biggest events of all times.
Prabhas himself was a pretty important part of the planning of such a mammoth event which is being organized at such a grand scale. The event will have an expected crowd of 100,000 people who are all going to be fans of the heartthrob who are dying to meet him. Kangana delivered one of the finest performances in her career which was not only challenging but she also did justice to the role. The film turned out to be very gripping and Anubhav Sinha brought a very relevant story on the big screen. Ayushmann moved away from quirky roles for a serious drama and excelled in every way possible. He is indeed the modern-day hero we all need.
John Abraham in Batla House
John Abraham has been choosing scripts that he would like to his fans to watch. And once again, this Nikkhil Advani directorial is a real-life tale of officer Sajeev Kumar Yadav who spearheaded the controversial Batla House encounter. The film is set to release on Independence Day 2019 but earlier previews reveal that this is indeed John’s finest performance till date. It is his show all the way and his character really keeps you hooked to the screens.

Akshay Kumar has been bringing real life stories to the big screen for a while now. After Airlift, Rustom, Pad Man, Kesari, the actor is co-producing the film Mission Mangal which is being headlined by Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari. The film is the story of the women who helped in the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also called Mangalyaan, carried out by a team of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). With the mission, India became the first Asian nation to reach Martian orbit and the first nation in the world to do so in its maiden attempt. It is releasing on Independence Day 2019.
Riteish Deshmukh remembers his father Vilasrao Deshmukh on his 7th death anniversary
It is known that Riteish Deshmukh and his father Vilasrao Deshmukh shared a great bond. The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra passed away seven years ago. Today, on his father’s 7th death anniversary, the actor shared an emotional post remembering him.
Riteish Deshmukh shared a couple of photos with wife and actress Genelia D’souza as they paid respect to their late father. He captioned the post as, “Some say 7 years is a long time, for me it feels like yesterday. Miss You Pappa….. #VilasraoDeshmukh.”
Daughter-in-law Genelia D’souza also shared a picture and wrote, “Miss you Pappa every single day ❤❤❤.”
On the work front, Riteish Deshmukh was last seen in Total Dhamaal. He will be next starring in Housefull 4 and Marjaavaan.

Akshay Kumar was promoting Mission Mangal with his team, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari and Sonakshi Sinha, and director Jagan Shakti in Delhi. The actor had a press conference when a journalist’s phone started ringing. Instead of letting it ring, the actor decided to answer the call.
During the press meets, many journalists record the conversations on call. One of the journalist’s phones rang and Akshay Kumar responded to it by saying, “Hello Krishna, hum log ek press conference main hain. Main Akshay Kumar bol raha hu… thodi der main call karna.” Everyone in the audience burst into laughter.
Akshay Kumar recently became the only Indian actor to be featured in World’s 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities in Forbes’ yearly list. The actor recently revealed that god has been very kind. There were times when he was struggling, felt completely let down and refused to think ahead. He said that every time he feels down, he sees all his possessions, his residence etc which he has earned after so much hard work. He said that God has given him a lot that he doesn’t even think he has the right to feel low because there are people who don’t even have anything. If he thinks more about it, he would consider himself the most selfish person. Akshay further said that when he started in the industry, he did not even have Rs. 200 in his pocket. Now, he has a lot.
Coming back to Mission Mangal, the film is set to release on Independence Day 2019.

She has become the latest target for the netizens for saying something forbidden.
Clearly, the millennials have taken offense at what she said in her recent interview. During a rapid-fire segment, Ananya Panday was asked to mention a film that’s overrated and she said The Godfather is overrated because she has not watched it. The netizens can’t keep calm as she has clearly said something offensive. Being one of the most iconic films of all times, The Godfather is one of those films we can’t hear anything negative about.
