Aazaad Awarded by Vice Chancellor, Kashi Vidyapith
On 4th August 2019, Kashi Vidyapith, a historical Institution strengthening Indian teaching since pre-Independence Era, honoured the much celebrated nationalist filmmaker Aazaad for his immense contribution for the upliftment and progress of our forgotten language Sanskrit and intense cultural artistic service to the motherland.
In this auspicious grand event, Aazaad was praised for the successful premiere of his film Rashtraputra at prestigious International Cannes Film Festival and his creative contribution in Sanskrit with the first mainstream feature film of the world Aham Brahmasmi. The ceremony was followed by trailer and song launch of the film Aham Brahmasmi.
The ceremony was presided by Prof. T.N Singh (Hon’ble Vice Chancellor – Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi), Chief Guest Prof. Gangadhar Panda (Ex. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor – Shree Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya, Odisha) and many more special guests of the educational field.
The film is written and directed by military school alumnus and the international filmmaker Aazaad to glorify the forgotten language Sanskrit. Aazaad is now coming with his unique creation of Sanskrit film Aham Brahmasmi to acquaint the comprehensive audience with the very roots of our ancient culture, traditions and forgotten language Sanskrit. It is important to note that both the films are produced by the film company ‘The Bombay Talkies Studios’ which was established by Rajnarayan Dube in 1934 along with female producer Kamini Dube.
Aazaad quoted with his trademark confidence that each and every human being, young or old, male or female, citizens of any country, any region and religion must have the thought and respect for their respective country. He also said that, this is the high time to re-invent and restore the sanatan culture and values through Dev Bhasha Sanskrit to preserve our divine identity and existence. Aazaad roars in his baritone that India is not merely a piece of land but a divine entity; one should live and die for the motherland. We are the fortunate descendants of the great sages who had created Vedas, Upanishads and the ultimate wisdom. For us the whole world is our family. Our thoughts, actions and voices represent and strengthen the worldwide brotherhood, piece and wisdom. It is a matter of great hope that in this commercial world of movies, Aazaad has come forward with such an extra ordinary subject of all time i.e Aham Brahmasmi. He expressed his deep concerns for cultural nationalism and said “Today in this sanatan Bharat, the sanatanis are in a state of becoming endangered species. The soulless, shameless, the permanent slave community, the anti-sanatani brigade has waged war against the sanatanis and are trying to prove and title them as communal. This country, the country of sanatanis should be free from the invisible chains of slavery created by so called seculars and pseudo intellectuals…And announce and declare in loud and clear voice that we are free …we all are Aazaad…we, the offspring of the sages”.
In this very occasion Prof. T.N Singh, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor– Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi expressed his deep regards for nationalist filmmaker Aazaad that Aazaad is not merely a filmmaker but an institution of substance himself. The Vice Chancellor said that Aazaad is combination of several highly creative departments of intense filmmaking. He himself a writer, a director, an editor, a music director, a singer and a multi-faceted complete actor. Apart from all these qualities he is a self-employed crusader of traditions and culture of the great nation i.e Bharat. He is very much aware of the fact that he has the responsibility to counter all the odds with his tremendous nationalistic force so that the purity and dignity of this godly culture of the land of sages can prevail. In his presidential speech the Vice Chancellor thanked the whole team of Bombay Talkies, Aazaad and his associates for the great creative, cultural achievements. He added that inside all of us there is the Brahm and we have to recognize and activate the supreme power. We will not only watch the great film Aham Brahmasmi but we will publicize it and tell the other institution to see and enjoy the film, the language and the creation. It should be mandatory to exhibit and to be watched in all the educational institutions. After watching the movie one can understand the eternal pain in the heart of Aazaad.
In this very occasion the head of the writing department of legendary film company Bombay Talkies, writer-poet and the closest associate of filmmaker Aazaad, Abhijit Ghatwari described Aazaad as the creative genius and a devoted inspiring artiste, a deep rooted creative soul who has the capability to take the Bombay Talkies to its glorious climax. Aazaad has fulfilled his responsibilities by his god gifted creative talent. After acquaint with the oratory skills and performance of Abhijit Ghatwari the Vice Chancellor Prof. T.N Singh – Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi told the audience that Abhijit Ghatwari is not just the writer and head of writing department but he is like a well – trained, well-cultured scholar and professor of Hindi and Sanskrit who can perform nonstop and very much ease with poetry and prose. The iconic film company was the great temple of creative cinematic art and culture established by the cinematic giant Rajnarayan Dube in 1934. It is to be noted that after an interval of sixty-five years the legendary film company Bombay Talkies made a splendid comeback with nationalistic film Rashtraputra and created history. Now the premiere company of filmmaking is ready to release the world’s first mainstream feature and most anticipated Sanskrit film, Aham Brahmasmi.
The unique film based on the thoughts and philosophy of the great revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad. The sole purpose and aim of this film is to reunite the world through a sense of unity and diversity and to acquaint the world with our immortal, eternal, cultural heritage through the forgotten ancient language Sanskrit. The movie has all the key elements of mainstream cinema viz. patriotism & drama in its core. Aazaad recollected his experience during the creation of the film Aham Brahmasmi in Dev Bhasha Sanskrit that he was alone with his team but after completing the film and campaigning across the nation his now supported immensely by thousands and thousands of Sanskrit loving descendants of the sages from the streets, from the schools, colleges, towns and villages, from different sects and societies, males, females, young and old. Aazaad is visualizing the event with his futuristic vision that very soon the day will come when lacs and crores, millions and billions of nationalist people coming with saffron flags, sloganeering ‘Vande Mataram’ and communicating with each other in Sanskrit. In this historical event after thankfully received the honour from Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi by the auspicious hand of Vice Chancellor himself Aazaad thanked all the literary giants of the university and articulated in his baritone that there is one Sanatan question and there is one Sanatan Answer. ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ host Rohit Shetty stands on top of a moving train
Rohit Shetty is all set to lead the crew of Khatron Ke Khiladi for the fifth time. The television show which has entered its tenth season has kick started the shooting in Bulgaria. This year will also see a bunch of popular faces like Karan Patel, Karishma Tanna, Dharmesh Yelande, Shivin Narang, Tejasswi Prakash, Adaa Khan, Amruta Khanvilkar, RJ Malishka, Balraj Sayal and Rani Chatterjee doing action-filled stunts for one whole month.
Rohit Shetty is well known for incorporating daredevil stunts in his films, including the Golmaal and Singham series. The director took to Instagram to share a video of himself standing atop a moving train which was shot during the shoot of the show. Sharing the video on his social media handle, the director requested all to not try it. He wrote, “Safety checks before the stunt… Please do not try this stunt as it was performed under Controlled Environment… Fear Factor.”
On Monday, August 5, Shetty had posted pictures of himself with the poster of Khatron Ke Khiladi in the background, announcing his arrival in Bulgaria.
The previous season of Khatron Ke Khiladi was won by choreographer and actor Punit Pathak. The shoot of the tenth season is expected to last for 45 days. The show will air in January 2020 after Bigg Boss 13, hosted by Salman Khan, concludes.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone recently wrapped the shoot of Meghna Gulzar’s next Chappak. The film is based on the life of the acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Currently, the actress is shooting for Kabir Khan directorial 83, which is based on the life of former cricketer Kapil Dev. She plays the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia. The lead role is essayed by Ranveer Singh. The film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi among others.
Shamita Shetty looks beautiful in T-Series’ single ‘Teri Maa’
Shamita Shetty is to debut in an upcoming music video, presented my T-series called ‘Teri Maa‘. The non-film track is a Punjabi song which has been directed by her brother-in-law, businessman Raj Kundra.
Conceptualised around a man torn between his love interest and mother, the song has been shot against a village dhaba backdrop and a night club set-up. The video will see Shamita as a Punjabi kudi, who playfully insists that she loves the guy more than his mother. It also features social media star, Manav Chhabra opposite her.
Shamita Shetty states that it’s a homecoming of sorts for her because of her passion for dancing. She says, “It’s a fun, peppy Punjabi song and gave me a chance to do what I love the most — dance! We shot the song in a day in the sweltering heat of Mumbai, but none of that really mattered because I had a blast working.”
About being directed by Raj Kundra, she says, “I had so much fun working with Jiju for the very first time. He is one of the most passionate people I’ve known and he’s so full of surprises.”

Valmiki: Pooja Hegde gets to work with Academy Award winner Robert Richardson
Acto Pooja Hegde is a fine example of an artist who has commercial and critical success in her film career. The talented actress, who is currently creating waves in the South with her back to back hit projects and is gearing up for her next big Bollywood release – Housefull 4, was recently left awestruck on the sets of her next South Indian project Valmiki. Three time Academy Award winning cinematographer Robert Richardson, while on his trip to India, landed up on the sets of the film, where he happened to meet Pooja.
What happened next became a lifelong memory for the actress. Richardson decided to roll his camera and take couple of shots of Pooja, something that other actresses only dream of.
Talking about her magical experience, Hegde says “I’ve absolutely loved his work and I’m a very big fan. After watching Hugo on screen, I think ‘wow what amazing cinematography’, I cannot even describe the feeling. I feel privileged because this is the man who has shot with directors like Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino and he’s now on our set rolling a shot for us. It’s such a privileged life,”
Hegde happily further reveals, “I’m so glad that I’m the one who’s in the frame and I got this opportunity. I just think that he’s one of the cinematographers who really like gives us a variety in terms of like Inglorious Bastards look so different from a Hugo, Shutter Day was also one my favourite films. I just think it’s hard to believe sometimes that the same person has done Hugo then done shutter island. He’s just so talented & you can see why he’s won three Oscars. He’s shot most of the iconic films.”
Spilling more beans about meeting Richardson, Hegde goes on to add “I think he’s a really fun person. He’s so vocal about his opinions and is really funny. His sense of humour is really great. I think the most memorable thing for me is that he just rolled a shot. I mean he’s the man who has just shot with Margot Robbie and now I’m the next girl in front of his camera. That’s amazing, from Margot Robbie to me. He’s the one who just shot with Leonardo Di Caprio, Brad Pitt for Once Upon A time in Hollywood,he normally be like ‘Leo just move a little right of the camera’ and now he was like ‘Pooja move little right of the camera’. I think that’s pretty much part of the Industry and you’ve grown up watching films and his films that’s quite an iconic moment for me.”

“It was Sridevi’s wish that I produce a Tamil film” – Boney Kapoor on Nerkonda Paarvai
Boney Kapoor has extremely ambivalent feelings about his first Tamil production Nerkonda Paarvai, a remake of the hard-itting Hindi film Pink which opens in the coming week. Says Boney emotionally, “While I am really happy with how the film has shaped up, I miss my wife (Sridevi) now more than ever before. It was her wish that I produce a film in Tamil. I wish it would have happened during her lifetime.”
Boney Kapoor reveals that the much-missed diva had set out to produce a film in Tamil years ago. “Sri and her mother had decided to produce a Tamil film starring the legendary M G Ramachandran. But the project couldn’t proceed beyond the Mahurat puja. Ever since then Sri was looking forward to producing a Tamil film. And not just Tamil, she also wanted me to venture into all the other South Indian languages – Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada. By producing Nerkonda Paarvai, I am finally giving shape to her dreams.”
The film stars the iconic Tamil actor Ajith in the role of the lawyer fighting a sexual harassment case which Amitabh Bachchan played in the original Hindi film Pink. Sridevi and Ajith had worked together briefly in the Tamil version of English Vinglish. And she felt he was the right actor for the role.
Says Boney gratefully, “I owe my career and my life to the South Indian film industry. A majority of my productions have been remakes of Tamil and Telugu films. So my career was made in the South. And the South gave me my life, my wife.”
Varun Dhawan bumps into his fan at the airport; makes her day by giving an autograph on her t-shirt
Varun Dhawan has fast become the youth heartthrob and it isn’t just thanks to his acting chops. In fact, Varun’s down to earth nature and his ever ready attitude to interact with fans has made him a favourite. Well, recently, Varun was snapped at the airport like so many other celebrities, and like most he had a few fans there too. But it was his gesture of making his fan’s day that caught out attention.

In fact, Ribhu Dasgupta had posted an image of the clapper board as well on Twitter announcing the start of the film. Well, now we came across these behind the scenes videos of Parineeti shooting in London.
Seen shooting on the streets of London, Parineeti Chopra dressed in all black looks totally engrossed in her character. As for the film, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, The Girl On The Train is a remake of the Hollywood film by the same name that featured Emily Blunt. The Hindi remake is slated to release in 2020.
Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan features in the first poster of her short film
Shah Rukh Khan may be away from the films for a while now and is busy producing shows and movies, but his daughter Suhana Khan seems to be making her way to the film industry. While Bollywood seems away for the teenager as of now, the 19-year-old will soon be seen in a short film titled The Grey Part Of Blue.
Theodore Gimeno, the writer, and director of The Grey Part Of Blue, took to his Instagram to share the first posters of his leading actors recently. Suhana Khan features alongside Robin Gonnella in the short film and looks like a star.

Chunky Panday gives an ominous look in the first look poster of Saaho
In the upcoming multilingual action-thriller film Saaho, Chunky Panday plays a badass villain. The first look of the actor from the film is out and looks every bit menacing. In the poster, Chunky Panday is seen walking away from a car on fire with a cigarette in his hand. The actor plays a character named Devraj.
Sharing Chunky Panday’s first look from the film, the director Sujeeth wrote, “With his ominous looks & steadfast gaze; here comes the new character poster of #Devraj ft @chunkypanday to give you some major chills! ???? #Saaho releasing worldwide from 30th August!”
Chunky Panday’s daughter and actor Ananya Panday shared the poster on her Instagram story with the caption, ‘OG’.
Chunky Panday who was last seen in the 2017 release Begum Jaan as a villain, said in an interview that his character in ‘Saaho’ is much deadlier.
The actor has a line of movies for release this year. He will be seen in Housefull 4, which is scheduled to release on Diwali. Director Sujeeth’s Saaho starring Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas in the lead roles will be simultaneously released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. The film also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and will be released on August 30.

In the video, the actress along with her trainer is seen doing the belly dance on the popular track ‘Akh Lad Jave’ from the film LoveYatri. The actress who is wearing lavender coloured top and white tights is seen acing every movement.
