Last night, she attended the Lokmat Style Awards, looking like a dream in a Sabyasachi saree and was seen interacting with a little girl and the video is going viral for all the right reasons. Even though she has met the little one earlier, the kid seems to have forgotten the meeting. Deepika was seen adorably asking the girl about her aspirations and even asked her if she wanted to sit next to her for the rest of the event.

Good Newwz: Kiara Advani says Akshay Kumar’s professionalism is contagious and inspiring
Kiara Advani is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Good Newwz starring alongside Diljit Dosanjh, Akshay Kumar, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Interestingly, the actress was launched by Akshay in Fugly. And in 2020, she is paired opposite him in Laxmmi Bomb. The actress says life has come full circle.
Speaking about working with Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani recently said that life has full circle from the time she was launched by the film to starring in Good Newwz to being cast opposite him in Laxmmi Bomb. She said that she finds his professionalism and enthusiasm very contagious and inspiring.
Kiara has another mentor in Karan Johar. She said that during Lust Stories, the filmmaker took her under his wing and they just connected. She further said that Karan is a warm human being with an approachable vibe. She often seeks advice from him in whatever she does.

Laal Singh Chaddha is one of the most anticipated films of 2020. The shooting has already begun as the actor is filming in various parts of the country. After Chandigarh, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Goa, the actor recently reached Kerala for the next part of the shooting.
The fans were clearly excited to see their favourite star shooting in the city. The actor obliged many of the fans with selfies. Aamir was shooting in Munnar this week. He was also spotted on the roads of Changanassery where he was running along with his team members and catching up on some exercise.
For the film, Aamir is sporting a new look with a long beard and cap and casuals. He was running in the scenes that were captured in the leaked videos. He has reportedly lost over 20kg for the role.

The Kapil Sharma Show: Akshay Kumar recalls the time when Kareena Kapoor Khan spat on him
Celebrating the 100 episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show, the upcoming weekend will see Bollywood’s eminent superstars and the cast of Good Newwz – Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani taking the entertainment quotient of the show a few notches higher. While all the other actors have experienced the show previously, Kareena, however, marked her presence for the very first time. Being a first-timer, Kareena ensured a heavy dose of laughter with comebacks and confessions.
Revealing some interesting behind the scene moments, Akshay narrated a cute banter between him and Kareena. Kapil tried to enquire from Akshay whether Kareena spat on him during the filming of Good Newwz many times that he had to re-do his makeup. Kareena was shocked to hear this but Akshay mentioned that the incidence was captured in the ‘Making of the movie’. Akshay shares, “Yes this is true. When Kareena was doing a scene where she had to push out the baby she was screaming out loud, without realizing she was simultaneously spitting on me.” Sharing some more behind the scene moments, Akshay mentioned that to add extra fun he has incorporated some ‘Nagin dance’ steps in his movies which he used to do at his friends’ wedding.
Conversations continued when Kapil enquired from Diljit whether he actually wore a shoe worth Rs 80K to impress Karan Johar on the day of the trailer launch. Diljit admits, “Yes, this is true. I wore the fancy shoes but it wasn’t to impress Karan.” Rumor game became interesting when Kareena admitted that she has a habit of chewing nails for no reason. She recalls, “I remember how my mom used to apply chilli powder on my nails so that I avoid chewing them unnecessarily. But this is one habit I can’t get rid of.” Kiara shared that her birth name is Alia. She had chosen her name to be Kiara. Further in the show cast mentioned that while shooting for Good Newwz they used to shoot from 7:00 am till 12:00 pm and everyone used to get free for the rest of the day – giving them ample time to plan their day better.

Akshay’s Laxmi Bomb, co-starring Kiara Advani, clashes with Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. His film Bachchan Pandey, on the other hand, is clashing with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. Both sound like big clashes, but Akshay doesn’t seem worried. In a recent conversation with a newspaper, he opened up on the same, saying that there were plenty of screens in the country, to accommodate two big films at the same time, although there are just 52 weeks in a year. He emphasised that it was possible for both films to do well, despite locking horns. We hope for the same!

“That one per cent (of top spenders) helps. Last year, we had Priyanka Chopra’s wedding in Umaid Bhawan Palace and it makes up for the revenue of 3 months. One is enough,” he said, at Times Network’s India Economic Conclave in Delhi. Emphasising that luxury weddings are a crucial part of the hospitality industry, he also cited examples such as the Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal wedding.

Street Dancer 3D trailer launch: There could be a fourth part of ABCD franchise, reveals Remo D’Souza
Here’s something fans were waiting for, for a long time. The trailer of Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Street Dancer 3D is out and the internet seems to love it. The ABCD franchise, as it is, enjoys a strong fan base of its own and is probably Bollywood’s only dance film franchise right now.
It took the makers quite a long time to come up with the third edition, after ABCD and ABCD 2. And guess what? They already have a fourth part in mind. At the trailer launch event, director Remo D’Souza was quizzed about the same. “There might be a fourth installment to the movie,” he answered.
The trailer revolves around a huge face-off, and also has an India-Pakistan connection to it! “India aur Pakistan, chahe Cricket mein mile ya dance battle mein, maza toh aayega,” Varun is heard saying, as it begins. Street Dancer 3D releases on January 24th, 2020.
While Shraddha’s last release Chhichhore crossed the 100-crore mark at the box office, Varun is presently working on father David Dhawan’s Coolie No. 1 alongside Sara Ali Khan.

Chandan Prabhakar who plays Chandu chai wala on the show will be becoming Kabir Singh on the show to entertain Kiara Advani. Kabir Singh that released a few months ago had Shahid Kapoor playing the lead role. Kiara played the role of Preeti in the film.

Street Dancer 3D trailer launch: Varun Dhawan speaks about the Nirbhaya case
After teasing the audience with the poster of the upcoming film Street Dancer 3D, the makers have released the trailer of the film. The trailer was launched at an event in Mumbai in the presence of the cast including Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. At the launch event, actor Varun Dhawan spoke about the Nirbhaya case.
On speaking about the punishment that the criminals deserve, Varun said, “We want strict punishment to be given to the criminals in the Nirbhaya case. As a team, we call for the strongest punishment.” For the unaware, the Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected the plea to review the death penalty of Akshay Kumar Singh who was convicted in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case.
Further talking about the movie, Varun said, “This film was stuck for the longest time. For four years, the script was stuck because a studio wasn’t ready to back it up. That time T-Series came in place to help us. We were parentless then.”
Meanwhile, director Remo D’Souza said that there might be a fourth installment to the movie. Street Dancer 3D also stars Prabhu Dheva, Dharmesh, Aparshakti Khurana, and others. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and is slated to release on January 24, 2020.

Dabangg 3: Salman Khan and team greet fans in Kannada after they land at Bengaluru airport
The team of Dabangg 3 is not leaving any stone unturned for promoting the film. The film is two days away from its release and the team is visiting fans in various cities to promote the film. Dabangg 3 will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada apart from Hindi.
A few days ago, the team of Dabangg 3 visited Chennai to attend a promotional event after which they headed to Bengaluru for promotion. Salman Khan took to Instagram to share a video of himself along with Kiccha Sudeep, Prabhu Dheva, Saiee Manjrekar, and others as they landed at Bengaluru airport. All the stars wished their fans in Kannada as the entered the city. Kiccha Sudeep greeted fans with namaste while he expressed his happiness on bringing the team of Dabangg 3 home. Director Prabhu Dheva too shared a few words in Kannada. Salman and Saiee also greeted the fans saying namaskar in Kannada.
Dabangg 3 is the third film in the Dabangg franchise, which stars Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan and Kichcha Sudeep in the lead roles. The film has been directed by Prabhu Dheva and produced by Salma Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Nikhil Dwivedi under the banner of Salman Khan Films and is slated to release on 20th December, this year.
Good Newwz: Karan Johar brings American singer Lauv on board to create a peppy track
This is a good news regarding Good Newwz! A handful of songs from the film have already released, but that’s not where the fun ends. Producer Karan Johar has brought on-board American pop-star Lauv, who will be working on a peppy track for the film!
Lauv took to Twitter to announce his first ever collaboration with a Bollywood film. “really excited to announce i collaborated on a song for the Bollywood film #GoodNewwz along with @rochaktweets this is my first bollywood collab ever and i’m honored to be a part of such a film, big love x@azeem2112 @akshaykumar @karanjohar @DharmaMovies,” he wrote.
Karan Johar responded to the tweet and wrote, “It’s a great song! Can’t wait for everyone to hear it”. The yet untitled track will be jointly created by Lauv and Rochak Kohli.
This is not the first time that an American singer is going to work on a Bollywood track. All of Akon’s ‘Chammak Challo’ from Ra.One, Tata Young’s version of the Dhoom title track and Snoop Dogg’s rapping in the title song of Sing Is Kinggh became hugely popular. Lauv will be hopefully upping the fun quotient too!

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar honoured by the World Book of Records, London
Actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha, on Tuesday, took to Twitter to announce that legendary actor Dilip Kumar has been honoured by the World Book of Records, London, for his unmatched contribution to Indian cinema. While the actor himself could not collect the award and the certificate himself, his wife Saira Banu, brother Aslam Khan, and his sisters Saeeda Khan and Farida Khan did it on his behalf.
“Many Congratulations! To the great thespian & greatest actor par excellence #DilipKumar on being honoured by the ‘World Book of Records’ London. He has been felicitated for his matchless contributions to Indian Cinema & for promoting social causes,” Sinha wrote.
Dilip Kumar, who recently celebrated his 97th birthday, is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and honours, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Padma Vibhushan title. Last seen in Qila in 1998 alongside Rekha, the actor has fallen unwell a number of times in the last few years, but has gotten back to the pink of health every time.
He recently also tweeted, expressing his elation after singer Lata Mangeshkar, after spending a month at the hospital, returned home recovered.
Dr. Shriram Lagoo, the masterly misfit?
The supremely talented Shriram Lagoo who passed away on December 17 was a late bloomer. He did his first film when he was in his 40s. He was 42 when he finally quit his successful career as an ENT doctor and pursued his passion of acting in theatre where he did some memorable plays such as Nata Samrat, Kaachecha Chandra, and Gidhade.
Back then for an actor in his 40s to enter Bollywood was unheard of. But he got lucky with V Shantaram’s Pinjra in Marathi where Dr. Lagoo was cast as an aging school teacher in a conservative village who creates a scandal by falling in love with a prostitute.
Though the film with its rippling raunchy lavani songs, was a big hit Dr. Lagoo, ever candid and self-exploratory confessed that the great Shantaram’s genius was on the decline by the time he made Pinjra and also admitted that re-making Pinjra into Hindi was a big mistake.
Such brutal frankness is unknown in Hindi cinema. Forever the outsider, Dr. Lagoo never minced words. His honesty was extended to his characters which seemed to be real even when placed in hard-core commercial milieu such as Prakash Mehra’s Lawaris where Dr. Lagoo left an impact as Amitabh Bachchan’s alcoholic co-star.
In his most memorable role in Hindi in Gharoanda in Hindi 1977 he was cast as one of three central characters alongside Amol Palekar and Zarina Wahab. Dr. Lagoo played a widower who undergoes a marriage of convenience with a much younger woman. Understandably, he had very few really meaty roles to sink his teeth into. Yet such was craving for the stage and camera that he did demeaning minuscule parts in scores and scores of Hindi films all through the 1980 and 90s.
Theatre and film actress Lilette Dubey who never got an opportunity to work with Dr. Lagoo makes an interesting observation about his career. “Like Amrish Puri, Boman Irani, Judi Dench, and Maggie Smith, Dr. Lagoo got into acting late in his life. His acting career followed a similar trajectory to theirs. For me Dr. Lagoo exemplified how intelligence can be brought to the fore in every field, even one of acting, he was a true blood theatre actor, magnificent on stage, who transitioned brilliantly on to screen with his natural and real, yet intense style of acting. One will always remember his wonderfully expressive eyes… another great passes on…Unfortunately, I never got to work with his… One of life’s mysteries… But remember, I started my mid-life accidental film career barely 19-20 years ago by when he had retired almost from films.”
Actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan who worked in several films with Dr. Lagoo during the latter’s career’s rush-hour in the 1990s remembers him as an erudite, gentle, and sophisticated actor.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker – Everything you need to know before you watch final movie
Are you someone who has survived all the living years without watching Star Wars? Do you feel lost when you see people gleefully dancing with funny light sword things (they are called Lightsabers, BTW)? Do you often wonder the context behind ‘May the force be with you’? or talk like Yoda without realizing why do you? If your answer was ‘Yes’ for most of the questions, worry not. This is it. This is where you must be before you prep yourself for the final installment of the Star Wars – Skywalkers franchise – Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.
Although it would be impossible to write down the saga into a 5-point listicle, we will prep you enough so that you sound less clueless. As the saga of the most popular family in a galaxy far, far away comes to a possible end, we have strung together a list of things that you NEED to know before you tighten the seat belt of the Millennium Falcon!
Luke and Leia from the original trilogy are twins and children of Padme and Anakin, from the prequels
“The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. And my sister has it” says a confident Luke Skywalker to a confused and anxious Princess Leia. Their parents are Padmé, a queen and senator who died (of something like a broken heart) after giving birth to them, and Anakin, who wasn’t fit to take care of them because he turned to the dark side (More on that later).
Anakin is Darth Vader. Darth Vader is Ben Solo a.k.a Kylo Ren’s Grandfather
Before you croon on Ben Solo and his enigmatic allegiance to the Dark Side, you need to know about his legendary grandfather Anakin. Darth Vader is the bad guy in the original trilogy (remember the magnificent killer in the black mask who breathes loudly). The prequel dwells on how a cutesy blond-haired Jedi eventually turned to the dark side. In the epic battle of The Empire Strikes Back, Vader tells Luke that he is his father and chops his hand off!! (and you thought you can’t deal with your father’s taunt! Go talk to Luke) However, in Return of the Jedi, Vader redeems himself by saving Luke from the evillest Emperor right before he dies.
Kylo Ren is the son of Han Solo and Leia
In the original trilogy, Princess Leia meets Han Solo, riding on the most fantastic spaceship ever – The Millennium Falcon accompanied by the loyal Wookie Chewbacca. Anyway, the story goes, Han meets Leia. They fall in love. Together they fight the Empire. Bring Peace. Give birth to Kylo Ren(Ben Solo). Luke tries to give Kylo Jedi training. Kylo becomes a big fan of his maternal grandfather, Darth Vader. Kylo embraces the dark side of the Force and kills his father. Yes! Skywalker children killing their parents is a cool thing in Star Wars. Will Kylo return to the ways of a Jedi or will reign as the supreme power of the Dark Side is the ultimate question for which we will get the answers. Which brings us to the next point
Rey is the ray of hope who is not a Skywalker
Daisy Ridley, the young scavenger from the planet of Jakku captured the attention of everyone. In the Last Jedi, her origin was the most talked-about revelation ever. Rey is not a Skywalker nor a Kenobi. Rey with her nascent use of The Force proves to be a fine strong opposition for Kylo and the dark side. Not hailing from the Jedi bloodline, she harnesses The Force skillfully and brilliantly. What is the origin of Rey? What does it mean for The Force and will she be the one to slay Kylo or vice versa? This is the namaste and chalo jald milte hai in the language of Star Wars. Implying ‘goodbye’, and ‘good luck’, the entirety of the franchise is centered around The Force. So, what is exactly? As Obi-Wan Kenobi explains it to Luke Skywalker, “It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.” What do you need it you ask? Because the greatest philosopher of all time, Yoda, said, “For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is.”

The elderly and small and the most powerful Jedi Masters in the universe – Yoda needs no introduction. He appears in both the prequel and the original Star Wars. Come, you must young padawan! (BTW padawan means Jedi in training, are you one?)
