She stressed that the ideology in question stands in direct opposition to the freedoms and civil liberties that form the foundation of American democracy.
As the leader overseeing all eighteen US intelligence agencies, Gabbard’s remarks drew attention for their direct ideological tone at a politically aligned event. According to a report by Fox News, a spokesperson from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence clarified that she spoke in her official role, reinforcing that her statements reflected the position of the nation’s top intelligence authority.
