Jersey announce squad for ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League Group B

Jersey Cricket have announced their squad of 14 players for the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League Group B Tournament in Oman from 30 November to 12 December 2019.

Jersey will compete with Uganda, Hong Kong, Italy, Kenya and Bermuda in Challenge League Group B over a three-year cycle of 15 matches.

The tournament fixtures listed below start with Jersey v Uganda on 2 December. Jersey’s fixtures:

Monday 2 December: v Uganda
Thursday 5 December: v Hong Kong
Friday 6 December: v Italy
Monday 9 December: v Kenya
Wednesday 11 December: v Bermuda

Challenge League Group B is the first qualifying round for the ICC 50 over Cricket World Cup in 2023.

Jersey Coach Neil MacRae commented: ‘Following recent strong performances in the ICC Global T-20 tournament in Abu Dhabi, the squad will now switch their focus to 50 over cricket and will be determined to make a strong start to the ICC Challenge League Group B in Oman.’
