Shahid Kapoor and Pankaj Kapoor reunite for Jersey remake
After the success of Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor will next star in Jersey, which is a remake of Telugu star Nani’s film with the same name. In October end, the actor began to prep for the film and continuing his training in cricket. It was also revealed that Mrunal Thakur joined the cast of the film. Now, another actor is joining the film and its none other than veteran actor and Shahid’s father, Pankaj Kapoor.
If reports are anything to go by, Pankaj Kapoor will play Shahid Kapoor’s mentor in the film. The veteran actor is excited to be working with Shahid again. He said that the film is driven by emotions and that working with his son is always interesting. Pankaj earlier worked with Shahid in Mausam and Shaandaar.
“Shahid will start shooting from December and will continue the shoot till 30th. The team will then take a four – five day break for New Year and then resume shoot in Chandigarh for the rest of the month. There is going to be a lot of movement from the team’s side in and out of Chandigarh in the coming months,” says a source.
Jersey remake will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanauri who helmed the critically acclaimed and commercially successful original as well. Produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, Dil Raju, the film is releasing on August 28, 2020.
Sonakshi Sinha says she would feel odd romancing a 22-year-old guy when she is 50
For quite some time now, there has been a debate over the ever-increasing age gap between male and female actors paired opposite each other. Sonakshi Sinha who has been paired opposite senior actors like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan in several films said that she would not be comfortable to be cast opposite a 22-year-old when she is 50.
Sonakshi Sinha was talking to a news agency about how older male stars consistently feature opposite much younger female actors. When asked about the increasing age gap between male and female stars, Sonakshi asked if it would be better to see Madhuri Dixit romancing Ishaan Khatter? The actress said Madhuri romancing Ishaan would be ‘a bit odd’.
When asked why it is not odd for Salman Khan to romance a 21-year-old, but it is odd when Madhuri Dixit romances a younger actor, the actress said that one should ask Salman as to what he eats or does to keep looking so young and keep romancing the younger girls with every film.
Sonakshi Sinha said that she has not given much thought about the age gap, as it a job for her. The Dabangg actress credited Salman Khan for sustaining a career for so long in the industry and still working with as much gusto as he did initially.
When asked why people are not accepting women doing the same thing, Sonakshi said that if she was 50, she would feel odd romancing a guy who’s 22-years-old.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonakshi Sinha is gearing up for the release of Dabangg 3 in which she is paired opposite Salman Khan. The film directed by Prabhu Deva is slated to hit the theatres on December 20.
Panipat: Ashutosh Gowariker says Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt were his first choice for the film
The team of the upcoming film Panipat is busy promoting the film. As the film nears its release date, Ashutosh Gowariker who directed the film said that it is the first time he got his first choice of cast.
In an interview with a daily newspaper, Ashutosh Gowariker said that Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Sanjay Dutt were his first choice for the film. The filmmaker further said that when you get your first choice it cuts down on the waiting period because when you do not get the first choice, the story needs to be pitched to someone else and then it’s a long wait.
Arjun Kapoor plays the character of Sadashiv Rao in Panipat. Gowariker said that he was looking for someone with a big built for the role and someone who can make people believe that he has great force and strength.
On the other hand, Kriti will be seen portraying Sadashiv Rao’s wife Parvatibai. Gowariker said that Kriti looked like a Maharashtrian and said that she is a detailed actress. As for Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Gowariker said that he is someone who has gone into another league, and sometimes, just his presence is enough.
The filmmaker said that the three actors immediately green-lighted the project when they were made the offer. Gowariker believes that as a writer or director, he can create only 50% of a character; it is the blend of his character sketch and the persona of the actor that finally comes alive on screen.
The story of Panipat revolves around the third battle of Panipat and is slated to hit the theatres on December 6.
Rani Mukerji to meet and celebrate real-life women achievers and put their inspiring stories out to people
Rani Mukerji plays a super-cop and a super-achiever in Mardaani 2 and the film, in its own way, is a commentary on how women are making it big in a man’s world despite all the challenges. Asha Parekh opens up about her love for Nasir Hussain and why she did not get married
Veteran Bollywood actress Asha Parekh, who charmed the audience during the 70s, recently released her memoir. In an interview with a news agency, the actress spoke about the memoir and about her love for yesteryear filmmaker Nasir Hussain.
Asha Parekh said that Nasir Hussain is the only man she loved and was enamoured by him. However, she said that it was not meant to be. The actress said that it would have been worthless to write an autobiography if she did not write about the people who mattered in my life.
Asha Parekh has never shied away from talking about her love for Nasir Hussain. She collaborated with the filmmaker for the 1959 film Dil Dekhe Dekho. In a recent interview, Asha said that her decision to not marry was the best decision of her life. Furthermore, she even revealed the reason she didn’t marry by saying that she was in love with a married man and as she didn’t want to break anyone’s home, she opted for this option.
Meanwhile, in her memoir, Asha Parekh revealed that she did not see Nasir Hussain during the last year of his life as he became a reclusive person.
Halsey reveals her album Manic track list and it includes collaborations with Alanis Morissette and BTS’ Suga
American singer Halsey is set to begin 2020 with the release of her third studio album, ‘Manic’. It is one of the anticipated albums of the year and she has released some of the EPs this year. On Tuesday, the 25-year-old singer shared the tracklist of her upcoming album and it has some major collaborations.
Halsey took to Twitter and shared a time-lapse video where she is sketching out the tracklist on an artsy sketchbook. The 16 track album includes her most famous single Without Me and latest release Graveyard. Akshay Kumar reveals why he works with new directors
Akshay Kumar is currently gearing up for his fourth release of the year. Good Newwz also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. The film is directed by debutant Raj Mehta. Akshay Kumar has worked with several first-time directors and Raj Mehta is his 21st. Recently, at the trailer launch of Good Newwz, the actor said that he works with new directors because the big directors are not taking him in their films.
Akshay spoke about this after Karan Johar, who is co-producing Good Newwz said that he was a star who had worked with many debutant directors. Akshay Kumar further said, “When big people don’t take you (in their films), you have to start your own journey. If you don’t get a job in a big publication, you will go through a smaller one. From there you jump. You cannot just sit at home and wonder why people don’t take me (in their films) despite me being so capable.”
When asked if there was a time when big directors were only interested in working with the Khans, Akshay replied, “They (big directors) went to the people who deserved. You see, it’s not that only the Khans were around. There were the Kapoors and the others. I presume I didn’t deserve it, so I earned it my way.”
However, Akshay Kumar has been part of projects which were produced by big banners including Dharma and Yash Raj Films. “I still don’t have big directors (directing me). They are producing films with me, but they are not directing. Mr. Karan Johar is there, you should ask him. You should ask Adi Chopra,” he said.
Sharing his experience of working with newcomer directors, the superstar further said, “Raj is my 21st new director. I also feel their greed to do good work is far more than many old directors. For them, it is a do or die situation, because (they think) if the film doesn’t work, then they are finished.”
Meanwhile, Good Newwz which revolves around the subject of IVF is slated to hit the theatres on December 27.

Rishi Kapoor to return to sets for Hitesh Bhatia’s untitled next on THIS date
After being away from the country for 11 long months due to his ailment, Rishi Kapoor and wife Neetu Kapoor returned to Mumbai in September. As announced earlier, Rishi Kapoor had shot for Hitesh Bhatia’s untitled next partially before heh ad to leave for New York for his treatment. After his return, he had said that he will take a little break, connect with his roots again, and settle himself with the Indian Standard Time before he started work again.
Now, it has been reported that Rishi Kapoor will join the sets of this untitled film as it goes on floors tomorrow. Even though some of the scenes were already shot for this film, they will start shooting for it from scratch. The film will be shot extensively in Mumbai and Delhi. The film is still in the pre-production stage and the Delhi schedule with last close to a month and will commence in January 2020.
Rishi Kapoor will next be seen in The Body with Emraan Hashmi and Sobhita Dhulipala.
Alia Bhatt – Ranbir Kapoor wedding in winter 2020?
The Bollywood wedding of the year 2020 is happening. Yes, Ranbir and Alia will tie the knot “most definitely” next year, probably in the winter season. “By that time both of them hope to clear all their pending assignments. Ranbir and Alia have decided to take at least a month off for their wedding. And for that to happen they need to complete their underproduction films,” says an informed source.
Ranbir is busy with Yash Raj films Shamshera. Alia has various films on the floor including her father Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Says the source, “Ranbir can clear the decks for the wedding sooner rather than later. Alia is far busier of the two. They will wait until November-December 2020 for their wedding,” says the source.
The wedding is most likely to happen outside India to avoid unwanted attention. Alia and Ranbir have been dating each other since they began working together in Brahmastra. It is believed that director Ayan Mukerjee who was Katrina’s close buddy when she fell in love with Ranbir, played cupid between Alia and Ranbir also.

Nargis Fakhri made her debut in Bollywood with Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Even though she made her debut after Imtiaz Ali discovered her on a Kingfisher’s calendar, she has been modelling since she was 16. While she’s come a long way from where she started, in a tête-à-tête with an ex-adult star, Brittni De La Mora, she revealed how she refused to pose nude for Playboy Magazine.
The actress has earlier expressed how uncomfortable she gets when it comes to performing passionate scenes or showing too much skin on screen. Recalling the incident, she said that she was modelling when the Playboy College Edition magazine had shortlisted her for a photoshoot. Her agent had spoken to her about it and wanted to know what she thought about it, even though it was a fat paycheck and a huge brand, she refused to be a part of it.
She further expressed that she’s comfortable with Bollywood because there’s not as much skin-show as compared to Hollywood as she has her own reservations about performing bold scenes on camera.

Kartik Aaryan, aka the Punchnama baby, has been a heartthrob since his debut in Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchama. The latest filter has the song ‘Akhiyon Se Goli Maare’ from Pati Patni Aur Woh playing in the background while heart-shaped sunglasses appear with Chintu Tyagi written on them along with his moustache. Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar goes on floors
After having wrapped up the shoot of Kabir Khan’s ’83, Ranveer Singh is all set to start shooting for his upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
We had earlier reported that the film will be going on floors in November and will be shot in Gujarat and Mumbai. The makers have now started shooting for the film. Though the makers are yet to make a formal announcement about the leading actress of the film, it is reported that Shalini Pandey, who played the lead actress in the Telugu film Arjun Reddy has been cast opposite Ranveer Singh.
Talking about the project, Ranveer Singh had earlier said that the film is a miracle script. He said that the sheer brilliance of the writing compelled him to immediately green-light this project.
The film will be backed by Maneesh Sharma, who made his directorial debut in Ranveer Singh’s first Hindi film, Band Baaja Baraat in 2010. The film is written and directed by debutant filmmaker Divyang Thakkar,
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh will soon be seen on the big screen playing the role of ace skipper Kapil Dev in the Kabir Khan directorial. Apart from ‘83, Ranveer will also be seen in Karan Johar’s magnum opus, Takht.
