Initially, the Maratha flags that were shown in the film had a logo of the word ‘Om’, now, Ajay Devgn and the makers have decided to remove it from the final edit. The historians have pointed out to the discrepancy in the same.

Kareena Kapoor Khan says she will play roles where older women romance younger men
The older actor-younger actress debate has been going on for a while now in Bollywood. Senior actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are often paired opposite actresses who are nearly half their age. Kareena Kapoor Khan has been an actor for nearly two decades now.

Kareena Kapoor Khan yet to watch Good Newwz; leaves for family vacation ahead of release
Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen on the silver screen after over a year. Her film Good Newwz released today and has been receiving great reviews from the audience on social media. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan have worked together in several films in the past. They were last seen together in the 2015 film Gabbar.
While critics and audiences are showering Good Newwz with love and appreciation, Kareena Kapoor Khan is yet to watch the film. The actress who plays Akshay Kumar’s wife in the film has already left for a family vacation with husband Saif Ali Khan and son Taimur. The family left for a four week holiday on December 25.
Kareena Kapoor Khan had revealed during the promotional events of the film that she was the first one to be cast for the film. She said that she signed the film because she really enjoyed the script. Good Newwz is about two couples who try to get pregnant through IVF. However, there is a sperm mix up when the IVF center confuses them because of their same surnames.
Good Newwz directed by Raj Mehta and co-produced by Karan Johar hit the theatres today across the world.
Ab Ladna Hai: Meghna Gulzar and Deepika Padukone speak why this poem penned by Gulzar is important
On Thursday, the makers of Chhapaak released a promotional video song titled ‘Ab Ladna Hai’. Legendary lyricist-writer Gulzar penned the lyrics for the same. In the video, Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey are seen giving voice to Gulzar’s inspirational words as she calls on society to bring about a change in its mindset.
Director Meghna Gulzar who is bringing the story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal while talking to a publication said that Chhapaak is as much a story of human courage as it is about changing attitude towards survivors. Meghna said that ‘Ab Ladna Hai’ is a poem written by her father, especially for the campaign. The filmmaker further said that the film highlights that a lot needs to change with regard to acid attack survivors and their place in our society.
The director further said that the subject of the film does not allow much room for songs and she is happy to collaborate with her father again. She said that there are three songs in the album, but the team thought it was better to communicate the core emotion with a poem written by Gulzar.
Padukone who voiced the words of Gulzar said that she was instantly drawn to the lines. She said that the lines were so powerful that she had to be a part of this creative piece.
Ustad Amjad Ali Khan request Kerala Government to build a hospital on land given to him
A few years ago, the Kerala government had given Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan two acres of land to set up a music academy in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram. Now, the musician has written to the Kerala Government to build a hospital on the land given to him.
In an interview with a news agency, Khan said that he believes healthcare is a primary need for every human, beyond religion. He said that after looking at his calendar that is scheduled with so much travelling worldwide, he does not think that he will be able to sit in one place and teach music. He, therefore, wrote a letter to Pinaraya Vijayan, the CM of Kerala, thanking him, for the land and requested him to build a hospital where people from all religions are treated equally.
Khan further said that he has asked them to involve the Tata Group, Ambani or Reliance Group or Lulu group so they make a world-class hospital. He further said that he thinks this is the best way he can serve the people of Kerala who have always showered him with love and respect.
Shahid Kapoor is happy that Kabir Singh was a success; says he can now pay for his new house
2019 was a blockbuster year for actor Shahid Kapoor as he delivered the biggest hit of his career with Kabir Singh. Despite the film being criticized for its misogyny by a section of the society, the film did exceptionally well at the box office.
The actor while talking to a daily said that 2019 has been a defining year for him as it has empowered him to play all types of characters. The actor said that Kabir Singh was not the kind of character that the audience expects of him. He thinks that giving the audience the unexpected is what his relationship with them is based on.
Talking about the success of Kabir Singh, he said that he just bought a house in Worli and needs to pay for it and so he is happy that he got a successful film. He further said that people see actors very differently, but they too have the same issues of running a house and giving their family a good life.

Deepika Padukone reveals details about her next production- Mahabharata
Deepika Padukone will be debuting as a producer with her next film titled Chhapaak. Even before the release of her first production, the actress is all ready for her next production. In an interview with the tabloid, Deepika Padukone revealed that her next production will be the Mahabharata narrated from Draupadi’s point of view. When asked whether it will be a love story or in the mythological space, she said that it is not so much about the female perspective as it is about different perspectives. Deepika said that they can only think of further details once a director is on board.
Meanwhile, a few weeks ago Indian- American author Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni had sold the rights of her book, The Palace of Illusions to adapt into a film. While there were no reports as to who purchased the rights, the plot of Deepika’s next production and the plot of the book are similar as both narrate Mahabharata from Draupadi’s point of view.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Chhapaak, which is slated to release on January 10. The film is based on the life of the acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal. Angad Bedi responds to Gautam Gambhir on his World XL tweet; says he is grateful if Gambhir has changed his mind
A few days ago, the cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir shared his pick for World XL of cricketing talent. While the list included cricketers Virat Kohli and Ben Stokes among others, the mention of Arvind Vashisht, which is Angad Bedi’s character from Inside Edge, raised a few eyebrows.
Early this year in August, Gautam Gambhir had a war of words with Angad Bedi’s father, former Indian team skipper Bishan Singh Bedi, insinuating that the latter had tried to block Navdeep Saini’s entry in the Delhi Ranji team. This turned ugly when Gambhir claimed that Bedi has attempted to “push his undeserving son for selection” and accused him of indulging in nepotism.
While Angad did not say anything back then, the actor is not amused by Gautam Gambhir’s recent tweet. Talking to a publication, Angad Bedi said that he did not say anything back then as he did not want to add fuel to the fire. He further said that Gautam Gambhir does not realise that Arvind Vashishth and Angad Bedi are the same. Bedi also said that if Gambhir thinks that he is talented enough to make to the list, then he is grateful to him and thanked him for changing his mind.
Talking about the war of words between Gambhir and his father, Angad said that the former’s tweet was distasteful. He further said that he values his father’s contribution to Indian cricket. Bishan Singh Bedi was the Indian cricket team captain for four years(1975-76 and 1978-79) and was the country’s finest left-arm spinner in the late 1960s and 1970s. He claimed 266 wickets in 67 Test matches.
SCOOP! John Abraham to star in Rohit Dhawan directed remake of VEDALAM, to be produced by Bhushan Kumar
Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Varun Dhawan would soon be seen in brother Rohit Dhawan’s next venture. However, responding to the rumours, Varun clarified that he is not part of Rohit’s next. Now we hear that the Satyameva Jayate actor John Abraham has been roped in for Rohit’s next. If that wasn’t all, our source also sheds some light on the venture claiming that it will be a remake of the Ajit starrer Vedalam, and will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.
Detailing the same, our source says, “Rohit Dhawan’s next is a remake of the south film Vedalam that released in 2015. Being an action film that featured Ajit, Rohit was pretty clear that he too would need an A-list action star for its Bollywood remake. Now John Abraham, who has already proved that he is perfect for an action entertainer, was an obvious choice for it.” Further talking about the project, our source continues, “Though there still is time before the venture goes on floors, the Vedalam remake is currently being backed by Bhushan Kumar, and will be produced under his banner T-Series. In the past, Bhushan and John have collaborated on multiple projects, and with T-Series coming on board, John’s part as the lead in this actioner was further reinforced.”
As for the film, the Hindi remake of Vedalam is yet to be titled. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, the film is expected to go on floors mid-2020.

The much-awaited film now has a very interesting title, Ludo which is set to hit the silver screen on 24th April 2020. The first glimpse of the film has been revealed.

SCOOP: Salman Khan OFFERED Farah Khan-Rohit Shetty’s Hum Paanch?
Notwithstanding the underperformance of Dabangg 3, Salman Khan still remains one of the most bankable stars today. Any filmmaker in today’s times would do anything to work with him and get him in his/her project as a leading actor. No wonder then that he continues to be offered some biggies backed by reputed filmmakers.
One such film that he has got recently is something that can be make for breaking news. It’s a film that’ll be directed by Farah Khan and produced by Rohit Shetty. A source reveals, “Everyone is aware that Farah Khan was to direct the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1982 flick Satte Pe Satta and that it’ll be produced by Rohit Shetty. Sadly, they failed to secure the rights of this classic film. Hence, they decided to tweak the story. They added lot of novel elements so that their project doesn’t seem a copy of the original. Satte Pe Satta was a story of seven brothers. Farah-Rohit’s script is changed to that of five brothers. Salman Khan obviously is offered the part of the eldest brother. The script is untitled but then David Dhawan suggested Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty to name the film Hum Paanch. They instantly liked it.”
The source continues, “The script is kept guarded but it’s been said that it has tons of entertainment. And that’s obvious since two of the biggest filmmakers, known for masala fares, are associated with the project. And if a superstar like Salman Khan accepts the film, then there’s nothing like it!”
Salman Khan is currently working steadily on his 2020 Eid release, Radhe. He’s then expected to start work on Kick 2.
EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar teams up with YRF for a big budget action comedy by THIS director
Akshay Kumar, who recently started shooting for Yash Raj Film’s upcoming period drama, Prithviraj Chauhan biopic titled Prithviraj, has another film under his kitty with the prestigious banner. Our sources have informed that the actor has signed on for a big budget action comedy that would mark the directorial debut of Rahul Rawail’s son, Shiv Rawail.
“The film is currently in the scripting stage and will go on the floors towards the second half of 2020. Akshay has loved the basic premise and is very excited to kick-off this well mounted action comedy,” revealed a source close to the development. After spinning on franchises like Dhoom and Tiger, YRF also announced their plans to turn War into a series with Hrithik Roshan in the lead. “The production house is known for big budget action films and the idea is to raise the bar with every passing film in the genre. Akshay loves the action space and Aditya Chopra will be going all out in terms of spending and scale of the film,” the source added.
Will it be another franchise from YRF? “It’s too early to comment on that but the chances of spinning a franchise can’t be ruled out. If the character gets popular, they might even come up with a series of action films under the brand name,” answered the source. Shiv Rawail has been working with YRF for almost 6 years now, polishing his skills to be a director. He has worked as an assistant director on films like Dhoom 3, Fan and Befikre.
Shiv would join the long list of directors who marked their Hindi film debut with Akshay Kumar, the recent ones being Raj Mehta (Good Newwz), Anurag Singh (Kesari), Jagan Shakti (Mission Mangal), Shree Narayan Singh (Toilet – Ek Prem Katha). An official announcement of the film will be a part of the 50th year celebrations of YRF, wherein they are planning a film each with the top stars of the industry and this is one of the many films being worked on. The film is targeting for a 2021 release.
However, when contacted the YRF spokesperson denied the story saying, “there is no truth to this information.”
Varun Dhawan denies starring in his brother Rohit Dhawan’s next
On Tuesday morning, the tabloids and entertainment portals were bustling with news that Varun Dhawan will star in his brother Rohit Dhawan’s next directorial. They even decided on behalf of the Dhawan brothers that their next collaboration would be for Dishoom 2, a sequel to Rohit’s 2016 action adventure featuring Varun with John Abraham.
However, Varun shuts down all reports on the Dishoom sequel clearly stating he is not doing another film with his brother. Says Varun, “Actually, there is no truth to this at all.”
Way back in July 2018, Varun Dhawan had said, “No, I am not in my brother’s next film. He’s making it with an entirely different cast. We don’t have to work together in every film. You forget, I wasn’t in his first film (Desi Boyz). I’ve only done one film with him. I had a ball shooting Dishoom with my brother. We’ll work together again soon. But not on his next film.”
Further probing reveals that Rohit Dhawan’s next will be a two-hero film most probably with Salman Khan and John Abraham.
Ronnie Screwvala and Vasan Bala come together for film adaptation of The Phantom
Yet another collaboration is happening between Ronnie Screwvala and Vasan Bala after Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Producer Ronnie Screwvala is already working on The Immortal Ashwatthama with Vicky Kaushal. Now, he is working on a superhero project with Vasan Bala. He has been working on a script based on American comic strip The Phantom, a crime-fighter who operates from the fictional country of Africa, Bangalla.
Vasan Bala was toying with the idea for the film adaptation and Ronnie Screwvala was instantly on board. They have acquired official screen adaptation rights. The director has begun working on the script and researching it after which he will approach actors for the roles. The plan is to go on the floor in the second half of 2020.
The Phantom is an American adventure comic strip, which was first published by Lee Falk in February 1936. The character has been adapted for television, film and video games.
Jawaani Jaaneman: 25 Years later, Saif Ali Khan recreates Yeh Dillagi song ‘Ole Ole’
It’s time for another recreation. With the New Year, the new decade will also start on a vibrant note with Saif Ali Khan starrer Jawaani Jaaneman. While the film’s posters have been looking amazing, another interesting part of it is that the actor will be re-creating his own song. His song ‘Ole Ole’ from Yeh Dillagi still holds its charm in today’s times like it did in the 90s.
Now, 25 years later, Saif Ali Khan is set to recreate ‘Ole Ole’ in Jawaani Jaaneman. Tanishq Bagchi has composed the new track and Shabbir Ahmed has penned the lyrics. Nitin Kakkar, who is helming the project, says that the original song had cult status so a lot of pressure is riding on them.
Starring debutante Aalia Furniturewala, Saif Ali Khan, and Tabu in interesting roles, Jawaani Jaaneman is presented by Pooja Entertainment in association with Black Knight Films and Northern Lights Films and produced by Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Saif Ali Khan, and Jay Shewakramani. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the film is all set to release on 31st January 2020.
Akshay Kumar starrer Good Newwz lands in legal soup; NGO claims it shows IVF centres in bad light
Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani have got good reviews for Good Newwz ahead of its theatrical release. However, the film has now landed into a legal soup. A Public Interest Litigation(PIL) has been filed in the Karnataka High Court seeking a stay by a Mir Sameem Raza, President of a Mysuru-based NGO called Yes Trust. Reportedly, the vacation bench of the high court is likely to hear the petition on the day of its release which is on December 27.
The PIL claims that the movie is misdirecting people, making people question the credibility of IVF centers and the makers are portraying how there is a higher chance of semen mix-up in IVF cases. A part of the petition reads, “The movie is about two childless couples, who come for IVF treatment, and the sperms get exchanged. This is bound to create a lot of confusion and uncertainty about the credibility of IVF treatment itself. As childless couples are already under immense social and psychological pressure, this may further cause emotional disturbance for them.”
In the movie, they show an IVF company of the name Indira IVF. The petition claims that such a clinic is already in business and it gives out a wrong impression. The petitioner has also named the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as a respondent.
Meanwhile, Good Newwz is directed by Raj Mehta and co-produced by Karan Johar.
Kiara Advani exits Varun Dhawan and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Mr Lele?
It was recently revealed filmmaker Shashank Khaitan will be directing a quirky entertainer starring Varun Dhawan, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. Varun, who previously worked with Shashank in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, is collaborating with him for the third time. It was also reported that the film is tentatively titled, Mr Lele. But, it seems like fans will have to wait to see Varun and Kiara together on the big screen.
After making her cameo in Kalank, Kiara and Varun were to star in Mr. Lele. But, it is being reported that the actress has exited the film. The reason being she has many projects in the pipeline and has no dates. Many scripts are coming her way but due to date issues, she has reportedly decided to quit the project. Now, we will have to see who replaces the actress.
Kiara Advani, on the work front, is starring in Good Newwz which is due on December 27. She has four projects in the pipeline including Indoo Ki Jawaani, Shershaah, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Laxmmi Bomb.
Taapsee Pannu reveals that she was advised to not do female centric films and should let men take center-stage
Taapsee Pannu who started her acting career in the South Indian film industry slowly made her way into Bollywood. The actress has not only proved her acting prowess but has also not hesitated from voicing her opinions. The actress has played strong women characters in films such as Pink, Naam Shabana, Saand Ki Aankh, Badla and more.
In a recent interview with a media house, Taapsee revealed that she was advised by some people in the industry to shift her focus from women-centric films as they feel she was doing too many of them. She said that she was advised that she should let men take center stage now.
Taapsee Pannu has also done an out and out commercial film like Judwaa 2 and was even criticized for the same. Talking about the same, Taapsee Pannu said that she did the film only to prove that she can do such a film as well and to not put her in a box. However, she said that she is in a position where she can vouch that her character will have something even if it is a commercial film.
