Mouni Roy Gets Married
Actor Mouni Roy tied the knot with her beau Suraj Nambiar on January 27, 2022, in Goa. Suraj is a Dubai-based entrepreneur, and they have been dating since 2019. The wedding ceremony was attended by some of the Bollywood friends of Mouni, along with the family members of both the bride and groom. The pre-wedding Haldi and Mehndi ceremonies were celebrated the day before the marriage.
Suraj being a Malayali and Mouni being a Bengali, their marriage was a happy co-existence of rituals from both cultures. In the morning, the couple got married following Malayali rituals. Mouni looked exquisitely beautiful in typical Malayali bridal attire, sporting a dazzling white saree with a fiery red border adorned in sparkling bridal jewelry. The groom looked dashing in a chic beige kurta and a traditional white mundu.
In the evening, it was time for the Bengali wedding. Mouni chose a red Lehenga designed by Sabyasachi for the Bengali wedding ceremony. The venue for the ceremonies was the Hilton Resort of Goa. Bollywood celebrities such as Mandira Bedi, Arjun Bijlani, Aashka Goradia, and Rahul of DID fame attended the wedding. Mandira and Arjun posted several pictures of the couple. Mouni also posted a picture of her wedding and sought blessings from all her well-wishers.
There had been buzz over Mouni’s marriage for a long while. The actor, however, did not comment in this regard. Mouni Roy is famous for the show Naagin and films like Gold starring Akshay Kumar. She will be seen in the upcoming film Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan.
