Richard Verma Rejoins T. Rowe Price Board of Directors
T. Rowe Price Group has reappointed Richard Verma as an independent director on its Board of Directors, marking his return after a previous tenure from 2018 to 2023. Verma, who left the board to take a U.S. government position, currently serves as Chief Administrative Officer at Mastercard, overseeing global operations and corporate strategy. His earlier roles at Mastercard included General Counsel and Head of Global Public Policy.
Before entering the private sector, Verma served as the U.S. Ambassador to India, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, and a judge advocate in the U.S. Air Force. Rob Sharps, Chair and CEO of T. Rowe Price, praised Verma’s global insight and policy expertise as key assets to the company’s long-term vision. Verma holds degrees in law and international relations from Georgetown University, along with a law degree from American University and a bachelor’s from Lehigh University.
