Shefali Jariwala Dies at 42: Tributes Pour In

Actor and model Shefali Jariwala, best known for her breakout appearance in the 2002 music video Kaanta Laga, has passed away at the age of 42. According to journalist Vickey Lalwani, Shefali suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was declared dead upon arrival at Bellevue Hospital in Mumbai. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, was seen leaving the hospital shortly after. The shocking news sent waves across the entertainment industry, with several celebrities expressing disbelief. 

Actor Aly Goni wrote on X, “Shocked and saddened… Life is so unpredictable.” Actress Divyanka Tripathi also shared her condolences, calling the news “unbelievable.” Political commentator Tehseen Poonawalla, who appeared with Shefali in Bigg Boss 13, recalled their last meeting at a party and mourned the loss of two co-contestants from the same season. Singer Mika Singh remembered her grace and vibrant spirit. Meanwhile, a clip of Shefali claiming, “I want to be known as the Kaanta Laga girl till I die,” has gone viral in tribute.
