Vijay, Rashmika Headline FIA’s India Day Parade in US

The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA-NY-NJ-CT-NE) officially kicked off the countdown to its 43rd India Day Parade with a vibrant curtain-raiser at the Indian Consulate in New York. The evening opened with a moment of silence honoring lives lost in recent tragedies in Pahalgam and Ahmedabad. Excitement soon followed with major reveals: Indian film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna will serve as Co-Grand Marshals, vowing to walk Madison Avenue on August 17 and greet fans in six languages. Adding a sporty twist, Cricmax Connect CEO Vinay Bhimjiani unveiled his platform as the title sponsor, introducing a cricket pitch on Madison Avenue and plans for an immersive fan experience through a new app. Ambassador Binaya S. Pradhan praised FIA’s cultural impact, while USA Cricket CEO Dr. Atul Rai called their collaboration “nation-building through sport.” With youth performances, a massive gala, and global inclusivity, FIA President Saurin Parikh revealed this year’s theme: “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah”—a heartfelt call for collective well-being.
