Actor Rajkummar Rao reveals why he decided to sport a unibrow for his character in Made In China
Actor Rajkummar Rao will soon be seen playing a Gujarati businessman in his upcoming film Made In China. For his role in the film, the actor gained eight kgs and got a round belly. He also decided to include unibrow to the whole appearance. The actor revealed that the inspiration came from the director Mikhil Musale who has a unibrow. Rajkummar Rao said that when he first saw Musale, his unibrow was one of his features that were most striking. He said that it did create a strong mental impression of someone without actually being out there in your face.
Rajkummar further said that he is always looking to experiment with his looks for each character. He said that the unibrow made his character look different and the lift gave the character an interesting touch. Made In China tells the story of a Gujarati entrepreneur Raghu Mehta (Rajkummar) and his ‘jugaadu’ business journey. Mouni Roy essays the role of Raghu’s wife Rukmini.

Deepika Padukone opens up about having babies with Ranveer Singh

Ujda Chaman director plans to send legal notice to Bala makers over copyright violation
Two movies with similar storylines are set to lock horns at the box office. Ujda Chaman starring Sunny Singh in the lead role is an official Hindi remake of 2017 Kannada film Ondu Motteya Kathe. The trailer was released recently and the makers were marketing it as the first film featuring a bald protagonist. Another film along the same lines is Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the leading. While the teaser was released a month ago, the trailer was unveiled on October 10. The theme of the film is about premature balding and the film has been preponed from November 15 to November 7 now.
This sudden change in the date has left Ujda Chaman makers fuming. The father-son duo Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak are even considering taking legal action over copyright violation. The film marks the directorial debut of Abhishek.
Abhishek Pathak, who is making his directorial debut with Ujda Chaman, said that he believes that good stories need to be seen by the maximum number of people. His studio Panorama Studios always looks out for such stories. He said that they acquired the rights to Ondu Motteya Kathe in the last quarter of 2018 with the intention to release it this year. He said that his team suggested November 8 and this is how their campaign began.
Abhishek Pathak further said that Bala makers have been changing their release date, from November 22 to November 15 to November 7, which is a day prior to his film. He said that he does not how this will help instead it will harm both films and industry at large. He pointed out that Ayushmann Khurrana is a saleable star at the box office and it wouldn’t affect the film. He even claimed the poster design is very similar.
He further stated that the content in the trailer looks very similar and that it seems like it has been taken from the original Kannada film. He said that he has the original rights and that the makers of Bala have tried to maneuver certain things like in the original movie, there’s a girl selling hair products to bald men whereas, in Bala, Ayushmann is selling products to dusky girls.
Speaking of going the legal way, Abhishek Pathak stated that they are discussing with their legal team and will take action in few days since it is clear case of copyright violation. He said that he can understand two films around bald characters releasing in short span of time but there are many striking similarities between the two films.
The statement released by Dinesh Vijan’s team read, “Bala has been in the works for several months now as it has been widely reported in the press. The film is very close to our hearts as a project because we want to meaningfully contribute to the conversation on challenging social themes of our times, like the widespread stigmatisation of baldness and dark skin. If there are multiple films that deal with one of these themes, it is all the more variety for the viewers to choose from which can never be a bad thing. It’s quite unfortunate if someone, especially a fellow filmmaker, sees this as anything but a positive for audiences. Maddock stands firmly by the originality of its film, and will back its project all the way, including through legal recourse if need be.”
BREAKING: Salman Khan’s Eid 2020 release Radhe: India’s Most Wanted Cop to go on floors on November 4!
Superstar Salman Khan is having an extremely busy time. He’s busy with his upcoming release Dabangg 3, which releases in two-and-a-half months on December 20. He is also devoting to his much loved reality show, ‘Bigg Boss’, which is in his thirteenth season currently. And in a month’s time, he’ll begin shooting for his Eid 2020 release, which has been titled Radhe: India’s Most Wanted Cop!
A source close to the film reveals, “The script has been locked and work on the pre-production is going on in full swing. Director Prabhu Dheva is neatly managing Dabangg 3’s post-production as well as the prep for this flick. Even before Dabangg 3 will be released, he and Salman Khan would take Radhe: India’s Most Wanted Cop on floors, on November 4. The first schedule will be held in Mumbai.”
There were reports earlier that the film will be simply titled Radhe. “Yes, but the producers Sohail Khan got Radhe: India’s Most Wanted Cop registered as the title. It gives a good touch to the film and is in sync with the film’s plot,” informs the source. For the uninitiated, the Eid 2020 release is a remake of the 2017 Korean film, The Outlaws.
Another development that happened yesterday with regards to this film is that cinematographer Ayananka Bose put up an image on his Instagram story that created excitement among Salman Khan fans. The picture was that of the schedule of Radhe: India’s Most Wanted Cop along with the dates and the scene which is to be shot on that particular day. The caption of this image was, ‘Locked n loaded !! Any guesses which film?? Hint: Eid !’ In no time, Radhe began trending on Twitter! Incidentally, Ayananka Bose has worked with Salman Khan before in his 2014 and 2018 Eid releases, Kick and Race 3, respectively.
An official announcement regarding the film can be expected anytime. “The complete star cast too will be announced at the same time,” asserts the source and signs off.

Varun Dhawan starrer Street Dancer 3D was like a six month dance camp. Here’s why
Remo D’Souza’s upcoming film Street Dancer 3D has Varun Dhawan in the lead who plays the role of a London based dancer of Indian origin who takes part in a dance competition with participants from different countries. The film produced by Bhushan Kumar and Remo D’Souza’s wife Lizelle is scheduled for release on Republic Day 2020. The film explores the culture of street dancing in India.
Reportedly, the cast members including Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Prabhu Dheva had to attend a prolonged workshop which started three months before the film went on floors. Remo, while talking to a media house said that the workshop was essential because they are playing with several dance forms, including crumping, breaking, hip hop, old school, and B-boying. The training went on to the wrap of the film. Remo said that it was like a six-month dance camp.
However, several dancers were injured during the training. Remo said that there were moments of real anxiety when Varun broke his knee and Shraddha was down with a fever just before the final face-off. However, the two actors finished shooting the climax on time without any complaints.
Sedition case against Anurag Kashyap, Naseeruddin Shah and others dropped by Bihar Police
The Bihar Police, on Wednesday, ordered closure of a sedition case filed against 49 celebrities including Anurag Kashyap, Shyam Benegal and Naseeruddin Shah. A few months after the celebrities wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over lynchings and religious war cry, local advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha filed a complaint in Muzaffarpur, following which a sedition case was lodged. The list of accused also included historian Ramachandra Guha, actors Soumitra Chatterjee, Aparna Sena, filmmaker Mani Ratnam, actor Revathi and singer Shubha Mudgal.
Citing the case as ‘false’, the police said that actions will be taken against the petitioner. Ojha, who defended prime accused, Brajesh Thakur in the Muzaffarpur shelter home sexual abuse case has earlier filed over 700 PILs against personalities like Manmohan Singh, Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan to name a few. The concerned investigating officer in the present case has been directed to file the final report in a day or two, and further actions against the petitioner will then be determined.
The sedition case caused rage in people of all spheres, and also drew flak from public figures including Rahul Gandhi. Actor Naseeruddin Shah and various others from the artists’ fraternity wrote another letter, asking how could sending a letter to the country’s Prime Minister and demanding his attention be called seditious.

Amitabh Bachchan donates Rs. 51 lakhs to Bihar CM relief fund
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has over the years associated himself with numerous social causes, and doing it once again Bachchan recently decided to donate to the Bihar Chief Ministers relief fund to aid the flood victims. In fact, Amitabh Bachchan has donated Rs. 51 lakhs to the Bihar CM’s relief fund after seeing reports on the floods that affected the area.
Apparently, Bachchan’s representative, Vijay Nath Mishra handed over the cheque of Rs. 51 lakhs to the Bihar Chief Minister’s deputy, Sushil Kumar Modi along with a letter from the veteran actor that talked about his feeling. The said letter read, “I am deeply stricken by the natural calamity that has hit the state of Bihar. My deepest condolences and sympathies to all whose lives have been affected in the recent flood.”

Madhuri Dixit announces her next production titled Panchak
After producing their first film, 15 August under their banner, R&M Moving Pictures, which went on to launch as a Netflix Original, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Dr. Shriram Nene have announced their next production titled Panchak. Set in a small village in Konkan (Maharashtra), it is a comedic take on the fear of death, taboos, and superstition.
Commenting on the same Madhuri said, “The film revolves around a family, their beliefs and superstitions which lead up to some hilarious situations. Slated as a family comedy, it will tickle everyone’s funny bone.”
Adding further, Dr. Shriram Nene said, “The idea of Panchak is very simple. Superstitions can overwhelm us, and drive us to unreasonable fear, putting us in absurd situations. Bhushan Kumar shifts Marjaavaan to 15th November for Dinesh Vijan – Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala
Ace producer and T-Series head honcho has pushed his upcoming Marjaavaan by a week to accommodate good friend Dinesh Vijan’s Bala. Marjaavaan starring Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh will now have a solo release on 15th November avoiding a clash with Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala.
Bhushan Kumar took to Twitter to announce the same, he wrote “I’ve had a long-standing relationship with @MaddockFilms and #DineshVijan is also a dear friend. I’ve decided to shift #Marjaavaan to 15th November 2019, to make way for #Bala. My best wishes to the team!”

Bigg Boss 13: Rajput Karni Sena demands a ban on Salman Khan’s show, writes to I&B Minister
The 13th season of Bigg Boss is making noise for how colourful and diverse its contestants really are. There’s some budding romance, there are some heated conflicts and some controversies as well. And what’s Bigg Boss without all these spices? However, The Rajput Karni Sena does not approve!
As per recent reports, the Rajasthan-based organisation has written to Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar, claiming that the popular TV reality show is carrying out insults on Hindu traditions. Alleging that the show tends to promote love jihad, the letter also alleged that Bigg Boss 13 was full of vulgarity, and wasn’t fit as a family show.
In the earlier seasons of Bigg Boss, the participants could choose who to share the bed with. This year, however, the makers brought in a slight change, and they entered the house as BFFs (Bed Friends Forever). Hindu TV actor Mahira Sharma sharing the bed with Muslim actor Asim Riyaz didn’t go down well with many.
The Rajput Karni Sena has reportedly also written to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, demanding immediate actions on the show.
Earlier, the Confederation of All India Traders also reached out to Javadekar, demanding a ban on Bigg Boss 13, claiming that the show didn’t meet moral and ethical standards.
