CONFIRMED! Hum Tum pair Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji reunite in Bunty Aur Babli 2
It’s official. Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji, the Hum Tum pair, are reuniting in the sequel of Bunty Aur Babli. The film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh. In an exciting casting coup of the season, Yash Raj Films is reuniting Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji and presenting them to play the original Bunty Aur Babli in the fully rebooted sequel! Saif and Rani were a blockbuster Jodi as they delivered big hits like Hum Tum and Ta Ra Rum Pum and were celebrated as a pair to watch out for given their infectious chemistry. They are reuniting after 11 years to bring their magic back on screen and we couldn’t be more excited!
The much-anticipated sequel will see a huge time leap of 10 years and feature two pairs of Bunty and Babli! YRF had earlier announced an incredibly fresh pairing of Siddhant Chaturvedi (of Gully Boy fame) and a new heroine, Sharvari, as the new talented conmen Bunty and Babli. Now, with the originals also back in the franchise, this is a huge twist to watch out for! It will be very interesting to see the dynamics between the two on-screen conmen couples.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, the hugely awaited entertainer has started its first shooting schedule. YRF has also always launched several new directors under its banner and Bunty Aur Babli 2 will be directed by Varun Sharma, who was an Assistant Director on YRF’s biggest blockbusters Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
Dabangg 3: Makers remove objectionable scenes from Salman Khan’s song ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’
A few days after objections were made against Salman Khan’s song ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’ in Dabangg 3, the makers have decided to voluntarily edit out that portion. The said scenes in the song showed some sadhus grooving to the music of the title track.
“Keeping everyone’s sentiments in mind, we have voluntarily edited certain scenes from the song ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’,” the note read which was shared on Wednesday by Salman Khan Films’ Twitter handle.
On November 29, Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, the Maharashtra and Chattisgarh branch of a religious organization, had sought the removal of the sequence and sent a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It stated that the song hurts religious sentiments.
Directed by Prabhudeva, produced by Salman, Arbaaz Khan and Nikhil Dwivedi, Dabangg 3 stars Sonakshi Sinha, Mahesh Manjrekar, Saiee Manjrekar, Arbaaz Khan, and Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep. The film is slated to hit big screens on December 20, 2019.
Disha Patani to return with a song in Tiger Shroff starrer Baaghi 3
Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff worked together in a music video titled ‘Befikra’. This was followed by the rumoured couple’s first film together Baaghi 2. In the film, the actress dies and that starts the revenge plot for Ronnie’s character. Tiger Shroff is currently shooting for Baaghi 3 and it seems like the duo is set to reunite again.
Disha Patani will be doing a dance number and shooting will take place on December 20. The actress will dance alongside hundreds of backup dancers at a set constructed in the city. It will be choreographed by Adil Shaikh, who has assisted Ahmed Khan before. It will be quintessential for the film’s narrative and will take it forward.
Baaghi 2 had a recreation of ‘Ek Do Teen’ which was performed by Jacqueline Fernandez.
Baaghi 3 team recently wrapped up the Serbia schedule of the film. The film stars Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Satish Kaushik, Ankita Lokhande. It is scheduled for March 6, 2020 release.
CONFIRMED! Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday to feature in Shakun Batra’s next
Filmmakers Karan Johar and Shakun Batra are all set to collaborate on a relationship drama. Bollywood Hungama had recently confirmed that the yet-untitled film will star Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in key roles. Shakun, who has previously directed Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012) and Kapoor & Sons (2016), will also produce the movie along with Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta.
Talking about the project, Karan says, “Shakun has directed one of the most acclaimed films of Dharma Productions — Kapoor & Sons. With this movie, he also turns producer with us. His upcoming directorial is an intriguing relationship drama, which will release on Valentine’s Day 2021. I am proud and excited about Shakun’s vision as a versatile filmmaker.”
Shakun adds, “I have had a wonderful journey with Karan and his production house for almost a decade now, and I can’t wait to get back into the director’s chair for my next. It’s a relationship drama where the characters find themselves stuck in a morally ambiguous zone.”
The film, which will go on floors early next year, will hit the screens on February 12, 2021.

Recently at the Agenda AajTak event in Delhi, Akshay Kumar was asked if he would join politics. “Never, I want to be happy. I love films and I contribute to my country through my films. This is my job,” he responded.
The Kesari actor also elaborated on his idea of nationalism. “I don’t believe in thinking about what the country has given you, but what you can give to the country. For example, you pick a captain of a cricket team, and now it is the team’s responsibility to listen to him. Follow the leader. Koi bhi party ka ho, let him lead the country, because chuna toh aap hi logon ne hai.”
Sharing a story from his first national award, Akshay added, “At my first National Award, a girl sat next to me, and told me that she’s a huge fan, congratulated me for my win. She asked me how many films have I done, I said 137. I asked her the same question and it was her first film, and she was winning a National Award for it. Kaise mera insult ho gaya.” Akshay received the first national award if his career for Rustom in 2017.

By now it’s almost clear that the remake of Satte Pe Satta (1982), produced by Rohit Shetty and directed by ace filmmaker Farah Khan, has been put on the backburner. There were reports that Farah was planning to make it with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone but superstar Roshan hadn’t liked the script. The original Satte Pe Satta (1982) was produced by Romu N Sippy and directed by Raj N Sippy and the remake rights are with Rajesh Vasani, of movie marketing firm, Paras Publicity Services. Interestingly, according to trade buzz, Vasani is planning to produce the remake now and has approached one of the talented directors of our times – Luv Ranjan to direct it. Apparently, the filmmaker has approached Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan to play the lead roles of Ravi Anand and Babu and Indu Anand.
Says a trade source, “Now that Farah and Rohit’s movie has been put on the backburner, one has heard that Rajesh Vasani approached Luv Ranjan to direct the remake. Luv is one of the biggest commercial blockbuster directors of today, at par with Rohit Shetty and who else better than him to direct a romantic action drama? Luv and Rajesh are also on cordial terms with everybody in Bollywood and advantage is that Luv is already doing a movie with Deepika, Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn. Apparently, it was his suggestion that they approach Hrithik again to play the male lead. After all, the actor had loved the characters of the good -hearted elder brother Ravi Anand and the darker yet pivotal character of Babu from the original Satte Pe Satta. Hrithik and Deepika have not done a movie before so this will be a fresh pairing. But everything is still in the nascent stages as talks have just started and nobody is willing to talk about it. If everything goes well, an announcement is expected to be made in January 2020.”
The source adds that it has appeared to be smooth sailing for Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan’s next movie, and Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma, had almost given their nods – but there were two hitches – Rohit would have to use another title and couldn’t use the character of the antagonist Babu in his movie as the original rights of the movie and the title lay with Rajesh Vasani. “Apparently, the lack of a double role was something that created an issue with Hrithik Roshan as in Satte Pe Satta, that role play by Amitabh Bachchan as Ravi Anand, the good elder brother was balanced by the darker and pivotal character of Babu (again played by Bachchan). That would be an exciting character for anybody, including an actor like Hrithik to play and with that missing, something was lacking in the script. Buzz was that Hrithik had told Farah and the team to re-write the script and come back.”
Satte Pe Satta revolves around seven unsophisticated brothers, living on a farmhouse, led by their eldest brother Ravi Anand (Amitabh Bachchan), who are taught manners and etiquettes by a nurse Indu (Hema Malini). But everything becomes chaotic when Ravi’s lookalike and impersonator, Babu, turns up. He kidnaps Ravi as part of a plan by somebody (with evil intentions), who has hired him. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini, Satte Pe Satta (1982) featured Sachin, Shakti Kapoor, Paintal, Sudhir, Inderjeet and Vikram Sahu as the rest of the six Anand brothers and Amjad Khan, Ranjeeta Kaur, Sarika, Kanwaljit Singh, Prema Narayan, Mac Mohan and Kalpana Iyer in other roles.
Salman Khan and Prabhu Dheva are working on a different cop look for Radhe
Now that Salman Khan is all set to play a cop for the second time in a row after Dabangg 3, and that too under the direction of the same director Prabhu Dheva, the superstar and super-director are searching for ways to make the two cop-heroes look completely different from one another.
One of the suggestions that have come up is that Salman should be a civil dressed cop in Radhe. Confirming this possibility a source in the know says, “Yes, they may do away with the khaki uniform in Radhe. That could be a big change for Salman. So the changes will have to be cosmetic. Doing away with the uniform is a good option.”
The other more radical change is to make the cop in Radhe completely free of laughter. “Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg is jokey and fun. The cop in Radhe would be a very serious man with nothing to laugh about,” says a source close to the project.
Kriti Sanon calls out a bar in Dublin, Ireland for using her picture for fake promotions
Kriti Sanon recently had two releases, Housefull 4 and Panipat: The Great Betrayal. “I was put in a Dingy Cell with Five Criminals,” Payal Rohatgi
On Tuesday evening, Payal Rohatgi and her husband Sangram Singh breathed a sigh of relief after Payal, incarcerated in Bundi for her remarks about the Gandhi-Nehru family, was released on bail.
Speaking to me soon after being released, Payal sounded shaken. “I’m still numb with disbelief. How can this happen? What did I do? I am just so so relieved to be out of that ordeal. I was whisked away by the Rajasthan police from Ahmedabad as soon as they realized I had applied for bail. They first put me in a filthy cell in the police station, then took me to jail where I was locked up with five hardcore criminals. It was a nightmare. We had to sleep on the cold floor. That’s where one sleeps in jail. I wouldn’t have been able to survive one more night in that jail.”
Payal is thankful that her husband and her lawyer were able to get her out. “My husband is a very innocent man. We have no knowledge of how the law works. This is why the Rajasthan police was able to use it (the law) against me. They claim I have not been replying to their notices. I’ve emails proving otherwise.”
As Payal gets ready for a long battle ahead with the law, she sighs in relief. “At the moment I am just grateful to be out. All I need is a warm bed. I don’t think this experience will ever leave me. I just hope I don’t have to go through it again. I believe the media has been very supportive. I want to thank everyone out there who supported me. It will take a long time to get over what I’ve gone through.”
The Kapil Sharma Show scores a century; celebrates with the cast of Good Newwz
Kapil Sharma made a bang with his comeback on Sony Entertainment Television’s The Kapil Sharma Show last years in December. The show stood the test of time and reveled in the appreciation pouring in from all quarters. Weekends turned more laugh-worthy with Kapil and his team delivering punches after punches with Bollywood A-listers by his side.
To celebrate the 100 episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show, the upcoming weekend will welcome Bollywood’s eminent superstars and the cast of Good Newwz – Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. While Akshay will be seen opening the show, what will follow is a laughter riot taking the energy of the show a few notches higher.

Kiku Sharda, known for his brand of humour, essays the character of Bachcha Yadav/ Accha Yadav and has gained utmost attention narrating hilarious stories or ‘Joks’ as they are called in his bizarre accent. Kiku shares, “The Kapil Sharma Show is like our second home and we gel up together as a family. We keep on pulling each-others’ leg and make fun of each other. However, it is all fun and game between all of us and no one takes it seriously.”
Archana Puran Singh who has been another crucial part of this journey shares, “December is the month of celebration for Kapil and for all of us. We have recently welcomed Kapil and Ginni’s newborn baby and completed 100 episodes of the show. Journey throughout this season has been worth cherishing with tons of good memories to remember. My favorite moment was when Anil Kapoor graced the set during his promotion on Pagalpanti. Entire cast of the show dedicated a performance depicting Anil’s wonderful journey in the industry.”
Our favorite and the longest association with Kapil’s show ‘Kammo bua’ aka Bharti Singh is again the most loved character from the show who never fails to make the guests welcomed on the set. Bharti shares, “Journey with Kapil has been a roller coaster ride with ups and downs. However, all of us together as a team managed to make this season a real success. My character of ‘Kammo bua’ has given me a totally different identity. When I go around I feel great when people recognize me as Kammo bua rather than my original name.”
Post Malone, BTS, Sam Hunt, Alanis Morissette along with Jagged Little Pill to perform at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve
It’s happening. The decade is about to end and we are set to welcome 2020. The annual New Year’s affair takes place in multiple cities in the United States. But, the major event happens at Times Square that is live telecasted. On Tuesday, Dick Clark Productions announced their lineup which includes Post Malone who will headline the event.
South Korean group BTS, which one of the biggest bands in the world currently has been added in the lineup. The band consists of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. They will perform at Times Square when the ball drops during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020. Last time in 2018, they had performed but it was a pre-recorded version that had songs like ‘DNA’, ‘Mic Drop’.
Country singer Sam Hunt and singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette along with the cast of Broadway’s Jagged Little Pill will also perform at the event. It will air live from Times Square on ABC on December 31.
Raazi missed out on the national award because the makers didn’t include this scene, reveals author
Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer Raazi was one of the most critically acclaimed films of 2018 and is based on a novel written by Harinder Sikka. The story revolves around a girl named Sehmat hailing from Kashmir, who married a Pakistani officer to spy for India. The novel is based on a true event from the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
The author, Harinder Sikka, was in a conversation with a leading tabloid and said that he is resentful over the fact that the filmmakers did not include the scene where Sehmat is seen saluting the tri-color. According to Sikka, if the makers had included that one scene, the film would have bagged a national award and even though it was entirely the makers’ creative decision, he still has that resentment.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Gangubai Kathiawadi and is simultaneously shooting for Brahmastra.
