Alia Bhatt Stuns in Fuchsia Saree at Durga Puja 2026

Alia Bhatt brought a vibrant mix of color and traditional elegance to Mumbai’s North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja celebrations with a striking fuchsia saree and sky-blue blouse. The actress attended the festivities hosted by the Mukerji family, arriving alongside filmmaker and close friend Ayan Mukerji. Her ensemble offered a refreshing take on festive dressing, combining classic Indian craftsmanship with playful contemporary styling.
The annual celebration is organized by the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti, a prominent gathering associated with Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Ayan Mukerji, Tanishaa Mukerji, and veteran actress Tanuja. Known for bringing together members of the film industry and celebrating Bengali traditions, the event is also a popular showcase for celebrity fashion during the festive season.
Alia’s saree appeared to feature a silk fabric adorned with delicate gold zari motifs. A broad, ornate gold border added richness to the drape, while slim sky-blue detailing along the inner edge of the pallu created a coordinated connection with her blouse. The contrast between the vivid pink and cool blue shades gave the traditional outfit a youthful, lively character.
Her blouse added another distinctive element to the look. Sheer organza puff details around the shoulders introduced subtle volume without making the silhouette appear heavy. Instead of elaborate embroidery across the front, the blouse relied on its distinctive shape, contrasting color, and lightweight fabric for visual appeal. Gold accents at the back provided an additional decorative touch.
The actress kept her neckline free of a necklace, allowing the blouse’s scoop neckline to remain visible. She chose antique gold jhumkas, with kanauti-style chains connecting the earrings to her neatly arranged bun. Stacked, chunky gold kadas completed the jewelry combination, adding texture and a traditional finishing touch.
Her hairstyle also contributed to the coordinated appearance. Small pink and blue flowers were woven into the bun, echoing the two dominant colors of her outfit and tying the overall styling together.
Alia’s appearance highlighted how thoughtful color combinations and carefully selected accessories can refresh traditional festive wear. From the ornate saree border to the airy sleeves and floral hair accents, the look balanced cultural elegance with modern fashion sensibilities, making it a standout ensemble at Mumbai’s celebrated Durga Puja gathering.
