Speaking of her fashion choices, she said that there’s no winning with people. “I don’t get it, I wear a white shirt and blue jeans, and they’ll be like so boring, why can’t she try something fun? And when I try something fun, it’s like oh now she is trying to be like her husband, she should just stick to doing the classic stuff she always does. What do you want?,” Deepika said.

Karan Johar took to Instagram to say that Amitabh Bachchan is the hugest inspiration. “I was a 3 or 4 years old when I began to realise the magnitude of the man….subsequently I had the privilege of growing up around him … I was first told I must always touch his feet as a mark of respect… but very soon after it came absolutely naturally to me…in fact it’s now a reflex action when I see him and I can never stop myself (even when I know my pants are perhaps a tad tight and it could result in an embarrassing tear) I call him Amit uncle (with great pride…almost patting my back because I have the right to this familiarity) and he will always be like a father figure to me….I probably can never be entirely myself around him because that star-struck kid with big awestruck eyes every time he walked into a room has never ever left me…and never will…I fainted the First time I had to work him and am not sure things have changed even today…I faint a little in my head every time I meet him and then compose myself so I can play act serious filmmaker again! Amitabh Bachchan is my hugest inspiration …his child like enthusiasm for everything he does…his paramount passion for every tiny detail…his ambition to keep achieving after being the ambassador of achievement …what do I say…there will never be a man and legend like him ever again! And there shouldn’t be….he has earned the place of mega movie star monopoly! Happy birthday Amit uncle! We love you so much….????????❤️❤️,” he wrote.

Amitabh Bachchan turns 77, wants no fanfare on his birthday

India’s biggest superstar whom his co-star Ayushmann Khurrana bills “A 77-year man with the mind of a 24-year old” is in no mood to celebrate his birthday. “What is there to celebrate? It’s a day like any other day? I’m grateful that I am still working, that my body is able to keep pace with my spirit,” he says humbly urging his well-wishers to wish and pray for his good health.

Amitabh Bachchan turns 77, wants no fanfare on his birthday

Bachchan Saab recalls his childhood birthdays when his father the great poet Harivanshrai Bachchan would always write and recite a poem for him. “It was a family tradition. But this tradition took an entirely new definition when after my near-fatal accident in 1984 (when Mr Bachchan nearly lost his life after a mis-aimed punch in his solar plexus while shooting Manmohan Desai’s Coolie) my father recited my birthday poem. It was like a new life for me. While reading the poem my father broke down. It was the only time I’ve seen him like that.”

The mega-star who will soon be seen in the sports drama Jhund, says he misses the annual ritual “My father’s poetry is much-missed, as is my mother’s excitement on that day. The annual ritual of cake-cutting no longer interests me. It has been replaced by a plate of dry fruits.”

Though having achieved more than most dream about in seven lifetimes, Bachchan Saab has many, many unfulfilled dreams. “There’re so many! I want play the piano. I want to learn many languages. I’d have liked to work with Guru Dutt.”

As a parting shot I ask him to choose one of his films that he would like to remake for himself. “None at all. What was to be done was done to those films. Why not look ahead?”

Made In China actress Amyra Dastur talks about the taboo around sex and playing supporting roles

Speaking about how sex is considered a taboo in our society, Amyra Dastuir said, “I think it is just the culture that is conservative at the end of the day and we don’t openly talk about it. But now we actually are, but otherwise, I mean it was like a big taboo. People would not even easily say the word. Slowly, people are opening up and it is becoming better and the culture shift is actually becoming less conservative. Ultimately, we came up with the Kamasutra and we still do not talk about sex at all. I think historical culture is far better than this culture. They seem far more open-minded than we are now.”

Amyra Dastur has largely played supporting roles in films. When asked why she does not play the lead in films she said, “Now, content-based films are working more than masala films. I have always wanted to do good films. I do not mind if the role is 5 minutes or 10 minutes long. I think this lead heroine and hero thing is very taxing and complicated. If you keep doing that you will end up with no work, so for me it is about the good scripts and good roles.”

Watch the complete video here:

Talking about the roles of actors getting edited out in the post-production stage, Amyra said that it is true. “You need to maintain good relations with people. If you piss the wrong person, then your roles get cut.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amyra Dastur will be seen in a web series that will be officially announced in November. The actress has also signed 2-3 films as of now.

Made In China: Rajkummar Rao is proud to represent Indian entrepreneurs and start ups

Entrepreneurship and startups have gained tremendous momentum in India and why should B-Town be left behind. Made In China: Rajkummar Rao is proud to represent Indian entrepreneurs and start ups
Through his journey of understanding the life of Raghu and his struggles as an entrepreneur, Raj understood much more about what a business owner goes through to make his venture successful and keep it going. During the course of the film, he was so happy to be able to portray that life can be an example for the entrepreneurial fraternity from small town India.
“The mantra that every business owner should operate with is – Never Say Die. That is one of the main things is that I picked up when I read the script of Made In China. Here is a man who has never had a successful business, yet has never given up. And that’s the core of my character – Raghu Mehta. He kept at it no matter what the odds. I’m so glad that I have been able to have this opportunity to tell budding entrepreneurs what it means to be one and how one always has to keep their spirits going, no matter what the circumstances. The story of Made In China in so many ways reflects the average Indian and all that he stands for. ” says Raj
Ask him if he would ever consider being a business owner in real life and he says, “I am so enamored by the entire entrepreneurial bent and yes, it definitely has given me the impetus to maybe consider venturing into being a business owner of some sort. I have a few ideas in mind but until they bear fruit, all I’d say is wait and watch. “
