Alia Bhatt looks as fresh as a flower in this lime-yellow outfit by Jonathan Simkhai
Alia Bhatt is currently shooting for her upcoming film Sadak 2 in Mumbai with Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, and her sister, Pooja Bhatt. This is the first time that she is being directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt in the remake of this 1991 namesake classic. Sticking to her usual casual and comfortable style, Alia Bhatt has yet again managed to give us major fashion goals without even trying too much.

Dressed in a lime-yellow colored dress by Jonathan Simkhai and we just can’t get over it. Even though the dress is a plain one, the bow in the middle and the trailed ruffles towards the hem of the dress are adding all the texture required to her outfit. Keeping it simple with her makeup, she let her hair down in waves and rounded off her look with white sneakers. Yet again, Ami Patel has brought the best in Alia Bhatt with her styling.
Alia Bhatt is will also be seen in Takht and is also in talks to play the lead role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai.
Watch: When Alia Bhatt schooled the paparazzi and asked them to maintain silence!
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Alia Bhatt came forward to support an initiative for children with heart diseases, by raising funds through an exhibition. Dressed in pretty casuals, she arrived at Mumbai’s Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children to inaugurate the exhibition named Art for the Heart. As always, the paparazzi followed. Alia, however, wouldn’t let chaos break out inside the hospital. She got down to schooling them!

“Mein nahi jaa rahi hun, mein idhar hi hun, don’t worry. Jaise school mein silence hota hai, sab log silence. Yeh hospital hai, yaha pe chilla nhi sakte. (I am not going anywhere. I am here only, don’t worry. Please maintain silence like you did in the school. This is a hospital, we can’t create noise here),” she was heard telling the shutterbugs.
The actor also visited the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and interacted with the doctors. “I have been told that kids are more positive than adults because they don’t know how bad the situation is and they don’t have a negative frame of mind. I feel that’s the reason they get cured faster,” she said, at the exhibition launch event.
On the work front, Alia will be next seen in Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and is also shooting for father Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2.

Here’s what Ibrahim Ali Khan has to say about his uncanny resemblance with Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s children Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan recently did a photo shoot for a magazine and spoke in length about the bond they share with each other and their parents. While Sara Ali Khan has proved her acting mettle with her films Kedarnath and Simmba, her younger brother often sends the Internet into a frenzy with his uncanny resemblance with Saif.

Ibrahim revealed that there are old relatives, his mother or a family friend who comes up to him and tells him that he is just like Saif and points out similarities in the way of doing things between him and his father. Ibrahim also said that his father is special to him and his guide when it comes to man-man conversations.
On talking about his bond with his sister, he said that Sara and he hardly fight and that is perhaps because of their five year age gap. But he also said that if they ever fight it is on the stupidest things.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara Ali Khan will next be seen in Imtiaz Ali Khan’s romance drama Aaj Kal in which she is paired opposite Kartik Aaryan. The actress is also shooting for the remake of Govinda’s film Coolie No 1, in which she will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan.
Amrita Singh reveals the one bad habit Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Khan have
Siblings Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan recently appeared for their first magazine cover together. The latest cover of Hello Magazine featuring the two went viral. Sara also said that unlike other siblings, they never fought a lot, probably because Ibrahim was 5-year younger to her! Mother Amrita Singh opened up on her two children, and what she admires the most in them.
‘Sara is a very God-loving child and has immense respect for every belief. She is also an extremely disciplined girl, be it her work or her mind and body, I see the effort she puts in every day to keep the balance and that’s really commendable,’ an Instagram post by the magazine quotes Amrita.
And what about Ibrahim? She called Ibrahim a kind, gentle soul who can face the harshest reality with a smile and has extremely strong willpower.
But Amrita also gave away that one habit of both her children that she doesn’t like! She called both of them extremely messy and untidy…LOL! Too many moms are going to relate to this…
Sara and Ibrahim, if you are listening, it’s time to tidy up a bit!
War, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Joker: Why do the most VIOLENT films release on October 2, that is, International Day Of Non-Violence?
Most of our films today are able to secure a record opening thanks to being released on holidays or on festivals. Usually, there’s a certain correlation between the film and the festival on which it hits screens. For instance, happy, funny and family-oriented films release on Diwali, Christmas and Eid, the festival synonymous with brightness and being with loved ones. On Independence Day and Republic Day, patriotic bent of films such as Mission Mangal, Batla House, Gold, Satyameva Jayate, Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi etc make it to cinemas.

But when it comes to October 2, it’s usually the opposite. This day is celebrated as International Day of Non-Violence worldwide, as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, who strongly advocated for non-violence. Ideally, we should be having films that promote peaceful living and showing ill-effects of violence releasing on Gandhiji’s birth anniversary. Instead, this year saw the release of War, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Joker. War, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, is a complete action flick and has its some of blood and gore, especially in the finale fight. Chiranjeevi-starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is a period drama and goes one step ahead. It is filled with scenes of beheadings, a kid being thrown in fire, a horse being set on fire, a panther enjoying a meal of the head of a brutally murdered person who was once his master etc.! As for Joker, the Hollywood flick doesn’t have violent scenes as such but is violent in thought.
And this year was not the exception. In the past, films like Bang Bang and Haider had released on this day in 2014. Bang Bang was also a slick actioner like War but thankfully less bloody. Haider talks of futility of violence but one remembers the film more for its intensity and violent depiction of Kashmir. A year before that, Ranbir Kapoor’s big-budget Besharam had arrived on October 2 and as the name suggests, the lead character was anything but Gandhian. Last year saw the release of Pataakha, a story of two sisters always physically fighting with each other. Judwaa 2, M S Dhoni – The Untold Story, Singh Is Bliing, Talvar etc are some of the other Gandhi Jayanti releases in the past few years and though these films weren’t violent exactly, they were miles away from Gandhian thought too. In fact, the only film in a long time that released during Gandhi Jayanti’s time and had some connection to the Father Of The Nation was Sui Dhaaga. This Varun Dhawan-Anushka Sharma starrer hit screens on September 28, 2018 and promoted the idea of self-reliance. As it’s a present-day story, the charkha was replaced by sewing machine.

And it seems like this trend will continue in 2020 as well. As of now, three films are scheduled to release on Gandhi Jayanti next year and none of them are non-violent. Satyameva Jayate 2, a sequel to the successful 2018 flick, will come to cinemas on this day and going by its predecessor, one can expect the John Abraham-Divya Khosla Kumar starrer to be equally gory and action-packed. Sardar Udham Singh, like Gandhi, was a freedom fighter but with opposite ideology and the biopic on him is releasing on October 2. It stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead and directed by Shoojit Sircar. Lastly, Farhan Akhtar’s film on the violent sport boxing, Toofan, is the third film releasing on International Day Of Non-Violence.

Lata Mangeshkar – Amitabh Bachchan mutual fan club, Lataji reacts
On India’s Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar’s 90th birthday the Superstar Amitabh Bachchan put out a video where in the most poetic and lucid language Mr Bachchan expresses his love and admiration for the Nightingale. Reacting to the video Lataji says, “Bachchan Saab sent me the video. It is one the finest gifts I’ve ever received. These are words of a poet. Only the son of Shri Harivansh Rai Bachchan could have spoken such fine words. I humbly thank Bachchan Saab for his beautiful words.”

Recalling her long association with Bachchan Saab, Lataji says, “I’ve known him and Jayaji for many years. They are both such fine actors. And I know they are both very fond of me. I had the chance to sing with Bachchan Saab in Silsila. The song was ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’. Unfortunately we couldn’t record the song together as he was out of the country. I sang my portions first. He recited his portions later”.
In Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Abhimaan where Jaya Bhaduri/ Bachchan played a singer the actress sought inspiration from Jayaji. Says Lataji, “That’s right. She came and observed how I sang. Later when I saw the film I was surprised to see she had copied my mannerisms.”
Lataji describes the Bachchans as a family of artistes. “They are an extraordinarily talented family. I wish each one of them the very best in life.”
