More than arithmetic!! Whole Brain Development!!
Many people often assume that learning arithmetic is merely a method to increase the speed and accuracy of calculation, for example, solving 738×16 + 20 x 46 = ? Within a few seconds.
By itself, it is already an amaz ing accomplishment for most young children. However, there is more to this because when children are learning aloha mental arithmetic, they are actually also undergoing the process of developing other aspects of the mind, thus achieving whole brain development. When the children have acquired an astonishing calculation speed, it is actually only the end result of having developed the following mental abilities: concentration, observation, visualization, imagination, and memory.
By teaching aloha mind math, especially between the ages of 5-12, they improve their use of four arithmetic rules by astonishing speed ! There is a very critical “window of opportunity”, that children have where there is maximum absorption of learning. According to scientific studies and research, mental abilities in children must be developed by the age of 12. Mental growth is most rapid before the age of 12 and the degree of mental development achieved by a child during this time has a great influence over his/her future. During this period of growth, learning is much easier and in aloha mind math, children are “playfully” absorbing the concepts. The ability to perform mathematical calculations mentally is very exciting for the child and this increases their self-confidence and boosts their self worth. Development of these qualities reflects positively in their overall performance in school.
Aloha stands for abacus learning of higher arithmetic. The children are initially trained with a mathematical tool called an abacus. And as training advances, they are able to perform calculations without use of any external aids, not even the abacus!! This is possible due to the aloha mental training program.
The aloha junior program is designed for children in the age group of 5-7 years, and aloha senior program is designed for children in the age group 7- 12 years.
Aloha mental arithmetic is a reputed educational institution with an international presence. Aloha center are spread over more than a dozen countries with an annul enrollment of over 3 million children worldwide. Aloha has earned the distinction of being a premier institution in the field of abacus education. Aloha was launched in north america in 2006.
