  • Anandi and Rushi

Even with the many challenges of a long-distance relationship, the bonds of love and togetherness never faded between Anandi Mandania and Rushi Gajjar. Anandi, a resident of New Jersey, and Rushi, who lives in Dallas, met each other while taking vacations at a beautiful Mexican destination. On the first anniversary of their relationship they went on vacation, again to Mexico, where it all started. Rushi proposed to Anandi on a beautiful beach during a private dinner. Anandi had been wishing that Rushi would propose, and when the moment arrived she was overwhelmed with joy and ecstasy.

Three years after their engagement the two were married on November 20, 2021. It was a destination wedding at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, along Macao Beach, in the Dominican Republic. They enlisted the help of Shaadi Destinations to arrange the venue, date and transportation, but the wedding events were conceived and planned by the couple. Indian wedding captured by Lightyear StudioAmong the pre-wedding celebrations, Sangeet had a Caribbean and fun atmosphere. The guests enjoyed a fire dance performance and stalls serving Indian snacks were offered. Pani Puri and Vodka Puri were super hits. At Haldi, all the guests wore magenta outfits while the bride and groom wore yellow, making for beautiful pictures of the event.

The wedding was an outdoor ceremony in the morning. With beautiful water views in the background, the Mandap décor was kept minimal. Rushi arrived on horseback. There was a dress code for the guests, with women wearing dresses in pastel shades. Both sets of parents wore emerald green, and the bridal party wore pista green. A DJ played music and the couple and their guests danced with enthusiasm and joy.

The reception featured a travel theme, based on all of the places the couple have visited. The seating arrangements also had travel themes. They had lighted crowns. Spanish, Bollywood, Caribbean and other kinds of music were played and there were dance performances by the couple and their families.

Rushi was mesmerized by the sight of Anandi in her wedding attire. Her father, too, compared his daughter’s glow to a diamond. During his speech at the reception, he emotionally told Rushi that he is entrusting his precious diamond to him and Rushi should make sure she always glows. It was a fun-filled wedding, and the memories of the special day will always be cherished by the couple.

With an intimate setting, their wedding was a celebration of love, friendship, and the extraordinary moments that bind two souls.

Katie and Amol’s story began as medical students competing for coveted spots at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. Amol’s proposal unfolded on the S.S. Badger, a ship crossing Lake Michigan. Amidst the waves, he popped the question, solidifying their commitment before Katie’s departure to Japan. Determined to be close, they married in September 2018, marking the beginning of their shared life.

The couple wisely enlisted the help of a wedding consultant, a decision they wholeheartedly recommend. With the Kasper home in Menasha as both the wedding and reception venue, the planning process was a heartfelt collaboration. A vibrant Sangeet, hosted at the Grand Meridian in Appleton, set the stage for the grand affair. The wedding ceremony, bathed in the golden hues of a fall afternoon, unfolded in Trish Kasper’s meticulously landscaped garden.

The reception, held in white tents adorned with floral arrangements and lanterns, radiated elegance. Random Maxx serenaded the couple with “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire for their first dance, an enchanting moment that drew everyone to the dance floor.

From Amol’s entrance on a white horse to the lively music and dancing, the wedding exuded charm. Small Daruma dolls graced the table settings, and Amol, in a nod to tradition, donned his dress white uniform for the reception.

  • Shelina and Deep

In the luminous desert oasis of Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, Shelina and Deep embarked on a journey of love on May 20, 2023. Their story began in October 2021 when fate intervened through a digital connection on Bumble. Shelina’s compassion and Deep’s kindness created a magnetic bond that, after a year of dating and family meetings, solidified into a love that felt utterly natural.

The proposal, a romantic chapter written on October 21, 2022, unfolded in the nostalgic setting of their first date venue, Evo, and the charming Old Town. Under the night sky and by a fountain, Deep asked Shelina to be his forever, a moment swiftly shared with family over FaceTime.

Weddings by Shy became the orchestrators of their dreams, weaving details with an impeccable touch. The decision to trust Weddings by Shy proved invaluable, allowing Shelina and Deep to revel in the joy of their events. A resounding recommendation echoed for couples considering a wedding planner, particularly Weddings by Shy.

Choosing Arizona for their nuptials was a deliberate choice, captivated by the allure of greenery and the splendid Hyatt at Gainey Ranch.

The pre-wedding events, from an intimate Mehndi to the grand ceremony and reception, embraced lightness and airiness. Bright marigolds adorned the Haldi, while a vintage Indian swing added charm to the Sangeet. DJ Sobash set the tone with Bollywood beats, accompanied by Dholi Dee.

Deep made a majestic entrance on a white horse, leading the baraat, while the bridal party awaited at the reception site.

The reception unfolded as a visual symphony. Shelina and Deep entered through an LED screen, enveloped by cold sparks, to the tune of “You are My Soniya” from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The dance floor, cloaked in clouds, witnessed their first dance to Arijit Singh’s “Kesariya.” The hall bloomed with white and pink flowers, draped in ivory with ethereal uplighting.

Their musical journey ranged from Bollywood to American hits, and surprises abounded. An entrance slideshow chronicled their journey, and the Father/Daughter dance featured a heartwarming montage of Shelina and her dad.

Amidst the vibrant celebration, Shelina and Deep shared advice for future couples—savor the weekend and let the wedding planner handle the magic behind the scenes. In the radiant tapestry of their union, every note played and every detail curated spoke to the authenticity and joy that Shelina and Deep brought to their unforgettable celebration.

  • Binny weds Dewang

The incessantly rainy night had a magic touch. It was the first real meeting between Binny and Dewang after virtual dating. They met at a Wine Bar in Garwood, NJ. A Rainy night and glass of wine created an instant bonding between them and they could feel that they had found their soulmates. Binny being a great fan of wine, Dewang arranged the proposal at Unionville Vineyards for a private wine tasting where Dewang put a sticker with “I love you, will you marry me” on the bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, Binny’s favorite wine.

The couple wanted a destination wedding within the USA. Binny is a lover of greenery and Dewang is a beach person. Wild Dunes Resorts in Isle of Palms, South Carolina had the perfect coordination of both greenery and beach, which fascinated both the bride and groom. Hence It became the destination of their wedding ceremony on November 21, 2021.

The venue is so beautiful with an outstanding location, they did not give much emphasis on the decoration, keeping the natural beauty of the surroundings intact. They had a combined welcome party and Mehndi night at the poolside. Vidhi and Haldi were celebrated at the beach and the Sangeet was on the rooftop of one of the buildings of the resort.

The wedding ceremony was in the morning. Binny and Dewang wrote letters to each other which they opened during the first look. The outdoor wedding was on a grassy area overlooking the beach. The palm trees and the greenery all around with a cool sea breeze created a soothing atmosphere. Both Binny and Dewang were dressed in shades of purple and the theme color was also shades of purple, yellow and white.

Dewang arrived at the wedding site in a 1965 Red Ford Mustang, with all of his family and friends. The music consisted of hip hop and EDM songs with a blend of Bollywood.

The color theme for the reception was black and gold. There was a lot of enjoyment, music, dancing and a skit on the love story of Binny and Dewang. All the 220 guests including the family and friends of the bride and groom had a gala time. There were first and last dances, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances were synchronized together. 90s hip hop, EDM and Reggaeton dominated the musical background.

The exquisitely creative bride designed all the invitations, wedding signs and above all her own, the grooms, and the bridesmaids’ outfits! Among all the festivities, both of them loved the exchange of letters the best. It was an exclusive expression of love and a sense of belonging for each other.
