Rupali Ganguly (aka Anupamaa Zaveri) wished her on-screen friend a very happy birthday and also called him the ‘National Crush’, considering the huge fan-following towards him and the chemistry between him and Rupali. Portraying the roles of two close friends in the serial, both Rupali and Gaurav share a good, close-knit bond in real life, too. Rupali took to her social media handle to wish her co-star Gaurav ‘happy birthday’ and thanked her for being a wonderful ‘Anuj’ to her character, Anupamaa. She also posted a beautiful picture of the two of them together.

The huge popularity both of the serial and of his talent has made him immensely popular, increasing his fan-following to a great extent. That is the reason her co-star Rupali termed him the ‘National Crush’.

Anupamaa’s producer Rajan Shahi organized a surprise party for Gaurav. It was a fun-filled event, including a celebratory cutting of the birthday cake; and all the members of the cast enjoyed it. His co-stars, including Jaswir Kaur and Madalsa Chakraborty, took to their own social media handles too to share their well wishes.
