The couple kept in touch as they shuttled between New Jersey and Florida, and it became increasingly clear that they had an incredible chemistry. Simit proposed to Esha on New Year’s Eve, just a year after he met her at their favorite New York City restaurant in Times Square! The couple describes the proposal as “the best Christmas gift ever.”

The gorgeous aesthetics of St. Augustine, Florida, coupled with its interesting history made it an ideal choice for a wedding venue. Esha and Simit decided to host their wedding at the boutique resort World Golf Village Renaissance in St. Augustine because of its elegant atmosphere and its spacious rooms.

The sangeet event featured decor with a gorgeous Moroccan royal purple backdrop with fluttering drapes, accentuated by a beautiful Indian Kathaloo that held Radha Krishna murthis. The wedding decorations followed a light pink-gold and maroon theme with an entrance flanked by brass peacocks, a huge Ganesha idol, and a stunning butterfly-themed mandap.

The couple’s first look took place on a scenic walkway just outside the resort. Esha and Simit looked into each other’s eyes right before the baraat, and both realized the true emotion and love that surrounded them as they embarked on a new chapter in their lives. The barrat itself was a spectacular beginning to the wedding ceremony, and the groom made his royal entry in a beautiful carriage drawn by white horses! The wedding included several unique touches including signs for the bride’s entrance held by the flower girls that stated “Masa (uncle)  here comes your bride,” and “has anyone seen my masa’s shoes?”.

The reception stage featured a backdrop that was a true work of art floral walls filled with candlesticks and crystals as well as an array of floating candles with submerged orchids. The event was memorable, and the newlyweds’ first dance was to “Dil dilyan gallan” while the talented DJ added fog effects and cold fireworks. The father-daughter dance was to “Aye dil laya hai bahaar,” while the mother-son dance was to “janam janam tu hi mere paas maa” creating a beautifully emotional moment.

Once they met, it didn’t take them long to discover how well they got along. The couple clicked instantly as if they were each other’s soulmates. Mital chose Aditi’s birthday to profess his love and went down on his knees, which took Aditi by surprise. She considers it to be her best birthday to date.

For the wedding planner, Aditi didn’t have to look far. Her younger sister, Parita, showcased her event management skills with the brilliant decor at ceremonial events. To add a royal touch to their wedding, the couple chose the Ajit Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Rose and Rajnichanda flowers adorned the stage of the ring ceremony. Around 1000 guests arrived to taste over 100 culinary delights. Chickeen Masala, a Mumbai-based band, were invited to the Mehndi ceremony as entertainers, and the entire event exuded Rajasthani flair in decor of pink, white and gold hues. For the vidhi and haldi, the highlight was the Gujarati Bandhani theme decor and a sitting stage amidst the pool where Aditi and Mital were seated. It was a delight to watch their grandparents dance along with the rest of the family. The aura was filled with laughter, smiles, and happiness.

For the wedding ceremony, a royal-themed mandap was decorated with an abundance of red roses spiraling up the pillars, out into the open sky. Mital made a statement with his royal entry in a 1930 neon orange and white vintage car Pontiac from the King’s collection. Aditi walking down the aisle in a heavenly ‘Phoolon ki chadar’ held by her brothers and uncles. The wedding was so dreamy and gorgeous, everyone was mesmerized as the lovely bride entered. The four day event brought both sides of the family closer, and everyone swears by the fun and entertainment they had.

The reception was held at Suncity Resorts and Club in Vadodara, Gujarat, with over 700 guests in attendance. Music from Bollywood to Hip Hop filled the air. Aditi, being a skilled dancer, performed three dances, for her parents, Mital and her in-laws. And just like that, Aditi and Mital became two halves of the same soul together on their journey ahead.

For the proposal, Vishal picked Ronisha up from BWI airport, and on the pretext that it was his birthday, insisted on going to the MGM Casino at the National Harbor. Though Ronisha was too tired to go anywhere, she still accompanied him. Vishal took her to the rooftop of MGM Casino, where the entire area was decorated with blushing flowers and sweet-smelling candles. Without delaying any further, he surrendered his heart and asked for one chance to keep her happy for a lifetime. Their beautiful moments together were perfectly captured by the private photographer Vishal hired.

The couple hired a wedding planner for an elaborate Indian wedding affair. Pre-nuptial events included the Chanla Matli (engagement ceremony), Mehndi, and Garba. From deciding the wedding theme and venue, booking caterers, choosing decorations, sending invitations, and performing traditional rituals, Ronisha and Vishal enjoyed every moment spent together, smiling and appreciating everything.

Ready for their happily-ever-after, Ronisha and Vishal’s wedding took place at the Omni Championsgate, Orlando. The couple went with a romantic vintage glam theme with the bridal party in coral and mint green hues. Vishal arrived for his baraat in a Rolls Royce Dawn with his close friends, fraternity brothers and family members. A local football team that was staying at the Omni Championsgate enthusiastically joined the baraat dancing and enjoying the Bollywood songs that accompanied the baraat. The entire baraat kneeled down for a huddle and exploded into a massive celebration. With old and new Bollywood songs playing along, Ronisha and Vishal’s wedding included swoon-worthy, tear-inducing, and heartfelt moments that melted the hearts of the 450 guests attending.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the reception dancing to Bollywood and Hip Hop hits. The newlyweds enjoyed a first dance to “My Heart Will Go On” from the movie Titanic, followed by a mother-son duet to “Pehla Nasha” and a father-daughter duet to “Mere Papa.” Next, the groom surprised the bride with his hot moves along with his friends on the dance floor. As guests headed to their respective tables, two large wood panels read “Travel to your seats,” symbolizing how long-distance can never separate two hearts who care for each other. The guests took home a luggage tag with their names and table numbers as a memento along with a lot of happy and fun-filled memories.

After this romantic proposal came the real work. Planning and picking the right wedding vendors so their big day went as smoothly as possible. Planning a wedding along with trying to juggle between work, looking for a house, community service, and trying to have some sort of social life, seemed almost impossible. Luckily, from the very beginning Shivani and Aakash hired Umangi Patel & Rikti Smart with Elite Dream Creations. Shivani recommends any bride planning a traditional Indian wedding to hire a wedding planner! They have creative ideas and clever ways of efficiently handling certain situations.

Given most Indian weddings are large productions with several events and lots of people. Shivani and Aakash planned to invite more than 700 people for their celebration, so picking the right, and large enough, venue was a challenge. A venue in Orlando was ideal since Aakash lives in Tampa and Shivani in Viera. The couple wanted to be sure to find the right location, with hospitality and the right price tag. The Hilton Orlando offered everything they needed for their fairytale wedding.

The couple’s big day was November 9, 2019, and included pre-wedding events such as the Mehndi, Sangeet and Pithi.

The wedding ceremony was indoors. The Occasions by Shangri La decor team created a true vision in the ballroom. Upon entering, a beautiful floral ring of white, ivory, and hints of blush pink, hung over the mandap, with four hanging wisteria vines. The walls were covered with a beautiful golden drape and two massive Ultra HD screens projecting a live feed behind the mandap. Two white floral peacocks were resting at the front of the aisle, which was all white with floating candles lined across the side.

When planning the reception, Shivani wanted it to feel like the first day she met Aakash at Tomorrowworld. The stage was designed and decorated exactly the same way to resemble the stage where the couple originally met. The Grand Finale of the wedding came when couple’s first dance performance began to the tune “I Like Me Better” by Lauv. Schamir, one of Aakash’s groomsmen, played the piano while Hanna Malik, Shivani’s friend, sang the song.

After texting for a couple of hours, Shivraj, who was in New York, decided to call Vaishali, in Chicago. Their first call lasted for over three hours. After this, neither the distance nor their busy lives could keep them apart for long.

After dating for a year, Shivraj decided to propose Vaishali. As Vaishali loved beaches, he flew her out to the Don CeSar Resort in St. Petersburg, Florida. As the couple took a stroll along the resort’s private beach, Vaishali saw “will you marry me” written in the sand with seashells. Shivraj got down on one knee and surprised Vaishali with a romantic beachside proposal (captured by a hidden photographer)!

On August 3, 2019, Vaishali and Shivraj tied the knot at the Sheraton Orlando North Hotel. In addition to a pre-wedding pithi ceremony and Grah Shanti puja, the couple planned a garba evening, where the theme was Arabian Nights. Vaishali made her entrance on a “magic carpet” floating on clouds (of smoke), pushed by her groom.

For the wedding, Vaishali and Shivraj chose a temple theme, and the venue’s aisles were lined with extravagant cascading bells. Shivraj’s baarat was accompanied by a mobile DJ, and he entered the venue with “Azeem O Shaan Shahenshah” playing in the background.

Vaishali entered under a traditional phoolon ki chaadar, decorated with real flowers in colors complementing her dress and accented with fairy lights. She made her way down the aisle to the music of “Tujh Mein Rabb Dikhta Hai.”

The reception featured a peacock theme, and the venue was designed with colorful floral centerpieces of candelabras and peacocks. One of the most interesting décor elements at the reception were the two in-love peacocks made out of flowers matching the bride and the groom’s outfits.

The newlyweds first dance to John Legend’s “All Of Me,” was a magical moment accented with mood lighting and fog machines. The two looked as if they were dancing above the clouds, leaving guests gasping in awe!

During cocktail hour, DJ Sangeen kept guests entertained with a mix of Bollywood, Punjabi and Hip-Hop music. A few suprise dance performances were planned for guests, including two separate performances by the bride and the groom’s family.

In November 2018, Mahul proposed Pooja. At a gazebo near a pond in Piedmont Park in Atlanta, with the Atlanta skyline providing a perfect romantic backdrop, Mahul got down on one knee and proposed Pooja, who said “yes.”

Given Pooja’s family lives in Florida, the couple chose The Plaza Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach for their wedding and reception. The wedding festivities began with a welcome dinner for their guests at The Plaza. Other pre-wedding events included a pithi ceremony and sangeet-mehendi both held at the hotel. While they handled most of the wedding planning details themselves, Pooja and Mahul hired same-day wedding coordinators to take care of the details on their big day.

The wedding’s color theme was turquoise, gold and ivory. Neil Patel from NJP Events & Design took the couple’s ideas and brought their vision to reality. He even incorporated Pooja’s favorite flowers – orchids and roses – in the mandap décor and reception centerpieces.

The biggest ‘wow-worthy’ moment of the wedding was their first look reveal. Mahul waited for Pooja by the beach, and she walked towards him as the sun rose in front of them.

Pooja and Mahul’s wedding included a number of beautiful, well-thought out DIY details. Pooja decorated the flower girl baskets herself, and she even put together all the welcome bags and itineraries for the guests.

For the reception, the newlyweds went with the same color and flower theme as their wedding. Pooja and Mahul entered the reception with NeYo and Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything” playing in the background. The couple’s first dance was to “All Of Me” by John Legend. Their combined Father-Daughter and Mother-Son dance was to “Jab Koi Baat” by Atif Aslam and Shirley Setia. For the cake-cutting ceremony, they chose Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.”

The music at the wedding and the reception was a mix of Bollywood, old school Punjabi songs and hip-hop. They had many dance performances by both the bride and the groom’s family and friends. The best part of the night was when Mahul joined his sisters to surprise his bride with a special performance.

As they wanted a destination wedding, the couple chose the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa in Florida. The venue’s 16th floor Sky Terrace offered a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico.

Meera and Mickey’s pre-wedding ceremonies were held in their respective hometowns. Meera’s Grah Shantak ceremony was held at her home, where decorations were flown in from India.

The couple hosted a Welcome Dinner for their guests at the Hyatt the evening before the wedding. For their daytime wedding ceremony, Meera and Mickey chose a very soothing color theme, with soft pink, ivory, and gold fabrics. Ivory elephant statues welcomed guests to the rooftop venue. As it was an outdoor, daytime wedding, guests were provided with sunglasses and Japanese hand-held fans monogrammed with the couple’s hashtag – #MGsquared. After the wedding, Meera and Mickey were whisked away in a Cinderella carriage that added a perfect moment to their fairytale wedding.

During cocktail hour, a classical violinist provided soothing background music. A navy blue and ivory color theme, with hints of gold provided the ambiance for the reception. Centerpieces were candelabras and tall floral pieces.

The couple’s first dance was to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. Their DJ used amazing lighting and a fog machine to make their first dance seem like a magical fairytale moment. Meera and Mickey looked as if they were dancing on clouds, which left their guests amazed. Their DJ played a mix of Bollywood, Punjabi and Hip-Hop to entertain their guests. Their Dholi Jupji also entertained with his LED dhol and phenomenal skills.

On December 22, 2018, Ami and Vikas tied the knot at the breathtaking Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Hotel. While they did hire an event planner to help them get in touch with vendors and ensure all the pieces fell smoothly into place all the way through the wedding day, Vikas and Ami took care of planning smaller details themselves.

The couple chose to have a traditional wedding filled with the usual ceremonies. Their wedding celebrations began with separately held mehndi ceremonies. While Vikas’ mehendi night was held at the Grand Hyatt, Ami’s mehndi and maameru function was organized at her parent’s home in Tampa Bay. All the decorations at Ami’s mehndi night were handmade by her family.

The next morning, Ami and Vikas held their individual Manglik Prasango ceremonies at the hotel, followed by garba and raas in the evening. For the colorful cultural night that was filled with dancing and singing, the couple chose a peacock garden theme.

The wedding ceremony was decorated in simple yet elegant décor of rich ivory, peach and rose gold colors. The entrance of the venue was adorned with two large white and gold elephants to welcome guests. The aisle to the mandap was lined with rose petals, candles and miniature ivory, and gold elephants.

Both Ami and Vikas’ entry to their wedding venue was quite regal and royal. Vikas made his way on a horse carriage along with his baraat. Ami entered the venue in a doli carried by her maternal uncles and cousins, with her brother dancing to the song “Meri Pyari Behaniya Banegi Dulhaniya.”

The reception followed a similar color them to the wedding. The hall was decorated with vases filled with flowers and candles, and tables were donned with shimmery rose gold tablecloths. They went with soft, dim lighting to end their wedding celebrations with a romantic ambiance.

Marriages are made in heaven, but weddings are made on Earth! Neha and Hemang’s wedding, like any other, was experienced on Earth, but the celebration was filled with so many beautiful moments that the occasion was out of this world. From a fun photo booth with a scooter at the entrance and a swing for the couple to a bobblehead cake topper that looked like the couple, their wedding had it all.

Neha Delvadia and Hemang Suthar got married at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Orlando, Florida. Since it was a summer wedding, they chose an indoor venue to be sure their guests were comfortable. Their mandap and décor had a traditional touch, with a raised aisle decorated with flowers and candles.

For this fun-loving couple, music and dance was a big part of their celebrations. While the groom made his way to the venue to “Tenu Leke” from Salaam-E-Ishq, the bride entered to “Din Sagna Da.” For the reception, the DJ played a combination of English and Indian songs to make sure that all of their guests enjoyed themselves.

For their first dance, the couple chose a medley of three songs: a romantic Hindi tune that transitioned into a Bhangra Ed Sheeran remix. Their family and friends also planned special dance performances. The groom himself even made a special guest appearance in a dance performed by his groomsmen.

Neha and Hemang had a poolside cocktail hour so that guests could enjoy a gorgeous sunset view. The reception decor featured an elegant, floral look. The stage was decorated with a floral backdrop with midnight blue curtains. After the vidaai, the newly married couple left on a decorated red golf cart!.

Along with their beautiful wedding story, Neha and Hemang also shared advice for other couples planning their wedding. “Months of preparation and planning come down to the big weekend that goes by so fast! So, make sure to take time to enjoy yourselves. Try to delegate duties so you don’t stress yourselves. At the end of the day, the most important memory will be of “the one” you are marrying,” they said.

Ask any bride how and when she met her groom, and she will remember it as clearly as it happened just yesterday. And so the story goes with Christena Singh.

A teacher from Miami, Christena clearly remembers the morning when social media played cupid in her love story. “It all began one early morning in September 2016, around 7:15am with an Instagram “good morning” message! Yep! You read right! Instagram!” she recollects her first exchange with Ravi, her groom.

With Christena in Florida and Ravi in Queens, NY, technology played a huge role in this love story. With hours of phone calls, Facetimes, and back and forth flights, their beautiful bond grew. In 2018, they made their commitment official by getting married.

In quite the romantic story, Ravi proposed to Christena by involving her best friends and parents. While unsuspecting Christena was out for dinner with her friends, Ravi decorated her entire house with rose petals. Reliving the night Christena said, “As I unlocked the front door I saw HUNDREDS of rose petals placed throughout the whole house. My neighbor stood in front of me with her video camera and I instantly knew he (Ravi) was there! She handed me a card that said that I had to follow the petals throughout my house.

“The first card led me upstairs to the first bedroom where another card was laid on the bed with a HUGE map. The card read, “I want to travel the world with you. Here is a map where we can scratch off each destination as we travel together.” The next card led downstairs to the kitchen with another card that read “follow the trail of roses to the front door.” Once I reached the front door another card awaited that said open the front door and walk around to the garage! Once I walked around to the garage, Ravi stood on one knee in a heart of rose petals asking me to marry him!”

That was October 27, 2017. And, on July 14, 2018, the loving couple got married in Orlando Marriott Lake Mary, Florida, in a Hindu wedding ceremony.
