Krishna weds Dillon by Peter Togel Photography
You know what they say about opposites attract? Sounds too cliché and right out of a Yash Raj movie right? Well for couple Krishna and Dillon from Georgia, that is how their journey began. The two met at the University of Georgia at a freshman event. Initially, they did not click and were total opposites. As their university years passed by, the time to part ways had come and the two realized that there was something more to their connection, a spark that started it all!
The proposal was simple and took place in the Dallas Botanical Gardens, a throwback to when the couple used to gardens in Athens while dating. The gardens represented a special location for both, filled with nostalgia! There was no place better for a proposal setting, and the couple enjoyed a romantic picnic once Krishna said yes!

The wedding took place at the Ridges Resort in Georgia. The couple did not hire a wedding planner as there was sufficient time between the proposal and the wedding to plan. Krishna and Dillon planned the entire wedding themselves and made the event special by hosting some pre-wedding functions at home.
The wedding was planned to be against an absolutely beautiful setting outside on the green lawn with natural sunlight. Unfortunately, it rained on the wedding day, and the festivities were moved under a tent. Still, guests enjoyed the wedding and were in awe of the beautifully implemented decor despite the weather challenges. The wedding reception took place at the same venue. Each table was decorated with a travel theme of the places where the couple had travelled adding a personal touch to the wedding festivities.

One wow moment during the celebrations was when the groom first saw the bride and was speechless. From not clicking to moving towards eternal love, this is a couple that will withstand the tests of marriage and devotion. Krishna and Dillon’s wedding will be remembered by guests, family members and friends with fond memories.

Priya weds Yogin Indian Wedding at Sheraton Atlanta Hotel
Priya and Yogin’s beautiful love story began when they met through mutual friends. After a few Facebook messages and dates, the couple knew they were onto something special! The two got engaged July 2017 and planned a wedding for December 2018.
Priya and Yogin wanted to be sure their wedding celebrations were everything that they had dreamt of and more, so they planned the events on their own with help from their families. As both of them are from Atlanta, they chose the gorgeous Sheraton Atlanta Hotel as the venue. Yogin’s family hosted the mehndi and sangeet night. The couple chose colorful décor for both events, which were simple yet vibrant.

The wedding ceremony was held during the day indoors. The elegant and royal theme matched Priya and Yogin’s wedding attire. The aisle leading to the mandap was decorated with flower petals and candles. Priya and Yogin also had a personalized hashtag that they made a part of the décor – #YoPriMarryMe.
Their wedding ceremony was filled with many beautiful and fun-filled moments. The couple had their first look at the pool courtyard. During the varmala ceremony, while Yogin stood on his friend’s shoulder, Priya’s family brought out a ladder for her to match his height. And after the saath pheras were over, Yogin picked Priya up in his arms, which was definitely an “aww-worthy” moment for their guests.

At the reception, the couple made a grand entry to the song “Bring Em Out” by T-Pain. The couple’s first dance was to Haley Reinhart’s version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
Both families had something special prepared for the reception. Yogin’s nieces and nephews did a special dance performance. Priya’s brother-in-law entertained everyone with his melodious singing. Priya also danced with her bridesmaids and was joined by Yogin for one of the songs. But the highlight of the evening was when Priya’s sisters and cousins surprised her with a special dance tribute with a medley of songs to which she had danced at other events.

The main wedding ceremony and all other festivities were made into starry events with the help of wedding planners, family & friends. Beautiful flowers and a natural setting on the garba night was made vibrant and lovely with the addition of many colorful hanging fabrics. The wedding ceremony was celebrated against a backdrop of peach and ivory along with crystals shining on a sunlit outdoor mandap with a live waterfall background. The reception was done in a navy blue, ivory, and gold theme. The stage had an elaborate backdrop with hanging floral centerpieces and archways.
Some unique personalizations created by the couple included the wedding newspaper and key cards for guests that detailed events, themes and fun facts about the wedding.

The guests were surprised as Nimish made his helicopter entrance into the Baraat ceremony. For Nimish, one wow moment came when he saw Shivali for the first time in her bridal outfit on their wedding day! From Garba to Mandap, life for the newlyweds will be filled with music as they live happily ever after!

Mariam weds Waqas
When Waqas Memon first saw Mariam Kiran Mirza at a local mosque, the attraction was instant. He knew he had to find some way to meet her and get to know her better. When he saw her again at a mall, he asked for her help in finding a birthday present for his cousin. Whether they found that present or not is not clear, but after spending an entire day together, they did find something better – love!
Six months later, Mariam and Waqas were engaged. One and a half years later, they married in Boca Raton, Florida. Mariam and Waqas had a four-day wedding celebration that included a sangeet, baraat, Nikkah, and Valima.
Rather than hiring a wedding planner, the couple decided to take care of things themselves. While Wagas took care of the vendor selection, Mariam handled the decoration details. Waqas interviewed 30 different photographers and videographers, and 16 different cake bakers before selecting the best vendors for their wedding.
Their colorful Sangeet celebration was held at Florida International University’s Kovens Conference Center. The Nikkah took place at the Islamic Centre of Boca Raton. Wagus and Mariam’s Valima (reception) was held at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel Golf Club & Convention Center.
During the Sangeet ceremony, there were several special performances from the groom’s side. Even Mariam and Waqas surprised their guests with a special dance performance. For the reception, the couple chose a playlist complete with just Bollywood tracks; apart from their first dance song, which was “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.
When discussing the most memorable ‘wow’ moment from their wedding, the Waqas shared a very special memory. “When I first saw her (Mariam) dressed up on our Baraat day, I couldn’t believe I was going to marry the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen,” he said.
