Khusbu and Parth’s Wedding at Hilton Palm Beach Airport
When a brief meeting with someone leaves a deep and lasting impact on you, it is definitely a connection worth exploring! This connection is exactly what Khusbu Patel and Parth Shah pursued.
Khusbu and Parth met each other briefly through mutual friends and started dating in 2016. Two years later, Parth proposed to Khusbu at the majestic Akshardham temple in Delhi. He proposed to her in front of God, literally! As both of them are very religious, Parth proposed in front of the Shri Nilkanth Varni’s statue in the Akshardham temple with both their families present.

With Khusbu’s immediate family in Florida, the couple chose the Hilton Palm Beach Airport Hotel in West Palm Beach. Their pithi and sangeet ceremony were also held at the same venue.
Khusbu and Parth’s sangeet ceremony was fun, colorful and vibrant. Both of them are big Harry Potter fans, so they had a photo booth that printed Harry Potter themed photos. What’s more? Given Khusbu’s love of games, the sangeet also included customized games, such as cornhole (bean bag toss), giant Jenga, and giant UNO for their guests to enjoy. The décor was done in a rustic green theme, with candle walls, tassels of white flowers, and a beautiful swing decorated with pink flowers.

For their wedding, the couple chose a marsala, rustic floral theme. Flowers and greenery were wrapped on the mandap pillars, with white wisterias and rose petals hanging around the structure. The aisle was lit with candles. They went with a simple white cake with floral wreaths, adorned with a Superman and a Superwoman cake topper.
When asked to give advice to other couples planning their wedding, Khusbu and Parth said, “Live in the moment! The wedding will fly by and things will not go as planned all the time. But even despite this, just remember to enjoy it otherwise you will regret it.”

Ami weds Vikas Clicked by Fine Art Productions
One right swipe on the online dating app, Dil Mil, is what led Ami Shah straight to Vikas Shah. After some nonstop chats and a quick trip, the two knew this was definitely something special. And 15 months later, Vikas proposed to Ami.
On December 22, 2018, Ami and Vikas tied the knot at the breathtaking Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Hotel. While they did hire an event planner to help them get in touch with vendors and ensure all the pieces fell smoothly into place all the way through the wedding day, Vikas and Ami took care of planning smaller details themselves.

The couple chose to have a traditional wedding filled with the usual ceremonies. Their wedding celebrations began with separately held mehndi ceremonies. While Vikas’ mehendi night was held at the Grand Hyatt, Ami’s mehndi and maameru function was organized at her parent’s home in Tampa Bay. All the decorations at Ami’s mehndi night were handmade by her family.
The next morning, Ami and Vikas held their individual Manglik Prasango ceremonies at the hotel, followed by garba and raas in the evening. For the colorful cultural night that was filled with dancing and singing, the couple chose a peacock garden theme.

The wedding ceremony was decorated in simple yet elegant décor of rich ivory, peach and rose gold colors. The entrance of the venue was adorned with two large white and gold elephants to welcome guests. The aisle to the mandap was lined with rose petals, candles and miniature ivory, and gold elephants.
Both Ami and Vikas’ entry to their wedding venue was quite regal and royal. Vikas made his way on a horse carriage along with his baraat. Ami entered the venue in a doli carried by her maternal uncles and cousins, with her brother dancing to the song “Meri Pyari Behaniya Banegi Dulhaniya.”

The reception followed a similar color them to the wedding. The hall was decorated with vases filled with flowers and candles, and tables were donned with shimmery rose gold tablecloths. They went with soft, dim lighting to end their wedding celebrations with a romantic ambiance.

Rakhi weds Ravi Indian Wedding at Innisbrook Golf and Spa Resort
Rakhi and Ravi’s wedding can best be described as a typical grand wedding of a match made in heaven. What better match than a finance expert and mathematician? Rakhi and Ravi’s story began when they both met through an app suggested by the friends of the bride. The relationship took its time to mature and develop into love and in precisely one year they were closer to the altar. The proposal was extremely sweet on a date night when Ravi surprised Rakhi by decorating his entire apartment with candles and roses and popped the big question leading to the big day.
With extended family spread across the midwest, the couple wanted a location that was accessible, but also fun. The couple chose Tampa Bay, where Rakhi’s parents had recently moved. Through the Orlando MyShadi Bridal Expo hosted by Desh Videsh, Rakhi and Ravi were able to decide on their venue and many other vendors. After visiting many venues in the Tampa Bay area, the couple chose the beautiful Innisbrook Resort to hold their wedding celebrations. Having planned their siblings’ weddings, the couple was confident in taking on the task of planning their own! They did enlist the help of a day-of coordinator to assist during the events.

The celebrations began with individual Ganesh pujas held at the Innisbrook Resort. Myar Decor took on decor for all functions, and the garba/sangeet night was a beautiful representation of the colors of Gujarat. The wedding ceremony was held indoors in an atrium where the morning rays of sunlight shone through skylight windows. A rustic mandap and special floral chandelier were highlight of the wedding decor.
For the reception, the entire hall was infused with vibrant hues of gold and burgundy flowers and candles to bring an ethereal feel to the setting. The glitter of chandelier and ornate drapery peppered with hydrangeas and roses slender vases, unleashed a riot of floral fanfare.

Rakhi and Ravi added personal touches throughout, the most notable being the table cards. They spent hours finding photos of each guest and using these as the customized table cards. What a sweet gesture to make guests feel special!
Rakhi and Ravi’s wedding was not only filled with love, romance, fun and laughter but also special attention for all guests.

Shreya weds Sagar
For Shreya and Sagar, a friends trip to Washington, D.C., with 18 people changed their lives forever. It was on this trip that Shreya, from Nashville, met Sagar, from Florida, for the first time, and they instantly clicked! After dating nine months, the two got engaged.
Shreya and Sagar married on September 15, 2018, at the Gujarat Cultural Association in Nashville, Tennessee. They planned their entire wedding themselves along with help from family and friends. Their wedding celebrations began with a colorful mehndi ceremony. Shreya chose a Moroccan theme for the function, where the venue was decorated with many colorful umbrellas. They went with matkas and diyas as the centerpieces for the tables.

The couple had an indoor daytime wedding, where they followed a traditional color theme of red, cream and gold. Shreya and Sagar chose an open oval-shaped mandap, which was decorated with floral cages lined along pillars that were donned with lotus flowers. A suspended Ganesha done with carnation flowers provided a beautiful backdrop to their mandap. The aisle was one of the best parts of the wedding décor. It was a 2-foot raised platform that was about 60 feet long and was decorated with red rose petals and lined with floating candles.
For the reception, Shreya and Sagar chose a more elegant and modern color theme with touches of black, crème and gold. They used accented bookshelves to provide a backdrop for their stage, which was decorated with floral-shaped cylinder glasses and candles. The centerpieces gave the room a fresh floral feel, complete with cascading flowers, hydrangeas, roses, orchids and Manzanita branches.

The bride and the groom danced their way into their reception, with their DJ providing them with special lighting effects and Bhangra dance beats. For their first dance, Shreya and Sagar chose country singer Brett Young’s “In Case You Didn’t Know.” Their dance playlist included Punjabi and Bollywood tracks, along with American hits from the 80s and 90s.
What’s more? As Shreya has a huge sweet tooth, there was a 32-foot long dessert table at the reception filled with a large variety of Indian and American sweets.

Krishna weds Dillon by Peter Togel Photography
You know what they say about opposites attract? Sounds too cliché and right out of a Yash Raj movie right? Well for couple Krishna and Dillon from Georgia, that is how their journey began. The two met at the University of Georgia at a freshman event. Initially, they did not click and were total opposites. As their university years passed by, the time to part ways had come and the two realized that there was something more to their connection, a spark that started it all!
The proposal was simple and took place in the Dallas Botanical Gardens, a throwback to when the couple used to gardens in Athens while dating. The gardens represented a special location for both, filled with nostalgia! There was no place better for a proposal setting, and the couple enjoyed a romantic picnic once Krishna said yes!

The wedding took place at the Ridges Resort in Georgia. The couple did not hire a wedding planner as there was sufficient time between the proposal and the wedding to plan. Krishna and Dillon planned the entire wedding themselves and made the event special by hosting some pre-wedding functions at home.
The wedding was planned to be against an absolutely beautiful setting outside on the green lawn with natural sunlight. Unfortunately, it rained on the wedding day, and the festivities were moved under a tent. Still, guests enjoyed the wedding and were in awe of the beautifully implemented decor despite the weather challenges. The wedding reception took place at the same venue. Each table was decorated with a travel theme of the places where the couple had travelled adding a personal touch to the wedding festivities.

One wow moment during the celebrations was when the groom first saw the bride and was speechless. From not clicking to moving towards eternal love, this is a couple that will withstand the tests of marriage and devotion. Krishna and Dillon’s wedding will be remembered by guests, family members and friends with fond memories.
