Jaina Patel, a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, was introduced to Umesh Patel, an Aerospace Engineer, through a mutual friend in 2011. Little did the two know that a casual introduction will lead them down the aisle to their “happily ever after!” The couple’s first date was so special that Jaina and Umesh remember it as if the date was just yesterday.

Umesh wanted to be sure he chose the right moment and place to propose to Jaina, so he planned a summer trip to Chicago. However, on the day he planned to pop the question, Jaina fell ill. Before their trip came to an end, they went to see Millennium Park, and it was there that Umesh asked Jaina to marry him.

Jaina’s pre-wedding events included a mehndi night, pithi, and grah shanti ceremony all at her home. Since she is from Zimbabwe, all these events had an African theme, and her family members handmade all the decorations themselves. Her cousin, Rajuben, made paper lantern centerpieces, with an African sunset and elephants painted on them. Her brothers-in-law made the stage backdrop, and her aunts and cousins made garlands and small flower arrangements for the decoration. Umesh’s family celebrated by doing a pithi and grah shanti ceremony at his home.

For the wedding, Jaina and Umesh chose a traditional color theme of red, white and gold. Umesh came to the venue in a Mercedes driven by his best friend. For the baraat and ceremony, their DJ played a mix of Bhangra, Bollywood and hip-hop music.

At the reception, the hall was decorated in a peacock theme, in colors of blue and turquoise. Two types of centerpieces adorned the tables – one was a vase with blue orchids and blue stones in them, and the other had blue and purple flowers with peacock feathers. The couple’s cake fit the theme with a peacock on top of it and edible feathers going down one side.

At the reception, their parents entered first, followed by their siblings and other close family members. Umesh and Jaina entered to “Mauja Hi Mauja” from their favorite movie Jab We Met. Their first dance was to the classic Elvis Presley song “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Manali weds Nikesh Indian Wedding at Hilton Orlando Photographed by Asaad Images
When your first date is at Disney World, the relationship ahead can only be an adventure! For Manali Patel, a physical therapist, and Nikesh Patel, a web developer, their adventure began on that fateful garba night when sparks flew. The two dated for seven years before Nikesh took the next step.
Making use of airline voucher tickets that were about to expire, Manali and Nikesh booked a trip to New York City. Nikesh used this as the perfect opportunity to pop the big question. He planned a memorable evening at a lovely New York City rooftop restaurant complete with candles and music! For Manali, the night was a dream come true.
The couple chose to host the wedding in Orlando, Florida, as Manali’s family lives in Melbourne and Nikesh’s in Tampa. The Hilton Orlando was the perfect venue, and the couple enlisted the help of a wedding planner. The pre-wedding events included a Moroccan-themed mehndi, vidhi ceremony, and sangeet.
The groom entered the main wedding event in a helicopter accompanied by his cousin sisters. He surprised Manali with a small dance performance especially for her with his friends and some of her bridesmaids. The wedding ceremony took place outdoors and the mandap was adorned in white, red, pink, and green florals. Waterfall effects in the background along with an aisle lined with candles and greenery pedestals enhanced the atmosphere. Music at the wedding events was a mix of Bollywood and western hits. Manali and Nikesh’s celebration included many surprise dance performances making the day memorable.
The evening reception was held indoors and featured a black and white dance floor along with a neon lit chandelier and matching centerpieces. Personal touches made the event more intimate with pictures of the couple’s wedding photo shoot in Jaipur and Jodhpur at the entrance.
Nikesh and Manali feel that the process from dating to the wedding can be long and drawn out filled with hard decisions, but in the end, it is all worth it when the love of your life stands before you in the mandap.

The mandap was decorated with floating floral chandeliers with traditional brass bells hanging with white and green wisteria flowers. And the backdrop was a screen layered with candles, silver and gold candelabras, and gold elephants.
Their starry-night themed wedding reception was a black-tie event. The décor included fresh florals, mirrors, candelabras, candles, and a black and white dance floor. As all the other wedding events were colorful, they wanted a more classic and romantic vibe for their reception.

Khusbu and Parth’s Wedding at Hilton Palm Beach Airport
When a brief meeting with someone leaves a deep and lasting impact on you, it is definitely a connection worth exploring! This connection is exactly what Khusbu Patel and Parth Shah pursued.
Khusbu and Parth met each other briefly through mutual friends and started dating in 2016. Two years later, Parth proposed to Khusbu at the majestic Akshardham temple in Delhi. He proposed to her in front of God, literally! As both of them are very religious, Parth proposed in front of the Shri Nilkanth Varni’s statue in the Akshardham temple with both their families present.

With Khusbu’s immediate family in Florida, the couple chose the Hilton Palm Beach Airport Hotel in West Palm Beach. Their pithi and sangeet ceremony were also held at the same venue.
Khusbu and Parth’s sangeet ceremony was fun, colorful and vibrant. Both of them are big Harry Potter fans, so they had a photo booth that printed Harry Potter themed photos. What’s more? Given Khusbu’s love of games, the sangeet also included customized games, such as cornhole (bean bag toss), giant Jenga, and giant UNO for their guests to enjoy. The décor was done in a rustic green theme, with candle walls, tassels of white flowers, and a beautiful swing decorated with pink flowers.
For their wedding, the couple chose a marsala, rustic floral theme. Flowers and greenery were wrapped on the mandap pillars, with white wisterias and rose petals hanging around the structure. The aisle was lit with candles. They went with a simple white cake with floral wreaths, adorned with a Superman and a Superwoman cake topper.
When asked to give advice to other couples planning their wedding, Khusbu and Parth said, “Live in the moment! The wedding will fly by and things will not go as planned all the time. But even despite this, just remember to enjoy it otherwise you will regret it.”

Ami weds Vikas Clicked by Fine Art Productions
One right swipe on the online dating app, Dil Mil, is what led Ami Shah straight to Vikas Shah. After some nonstop chats and a quick trip, the two knew this was definitely something special. And 15 months later, Vikas proposed to Ami.
On December 22, 2018, Ami and Vikas tied the knot at the breathtaking Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Hotel. While they did hire an event planner to help them get in touch with vendors and ensure all the pieces fell smoothly into place all the way through the wedding day, Vikas and Ami took care of planning smaller details themselves.

The couple chose to have a traditional wedding filled with the usual ceremonies. Their wedding celebrations began with separately held mehndi ceremonies. While Vikas’ mehendi night was held at the Grand Hyatt, Ami’s mehndi and maameru function was organized at her parent’s home in Tampa Bay. All the decorations at Ami’s mehndi night were handmade by her family.
The next morning, Ami and Vikas held their individual Manglik Prasango ceremonies at the hotel, followed by garba and raas in the evening. For the colorful cultural night that was filled with dancing and singing, the couple chose a peacock garden theme.
The wedding ceremony was decorated in simple yet elegant décor of rich ivory, peach and rose gold colors. The entrance of the venue was adorned with two large white and gold elephants to welcome guests. The aisle to the mandap was lined with rose petals, candles and miniature ivory, and gold elephants.
Both Ami and Vikas’ entry to their wedding venue was quite regal and royal. Vikas made his way on a horse carriage along with his baraat. Ami entered the venue in a doli carried by her maternal uncles and cousins, with her brother dancing to the song “Meri Pyari Behaniya Banegi Dulhaniya.”
The reception followed a similar color them to the wedding. The hall was decorated with vases filled with flowers and candles, and tables were donned with shimmery rose gold tablecloths. They went with soft, dim lighting to end their wedding celebrations with a romantic ambiance.
